Many years ago, Harvard sociologist Daniel Patrick Moynihan said he was stunned by the swiftness of cultural change that took place in the 1960s. In particular, he cited the overnight conversion to co-ed dorms on college campuses.
Lots of changes took place during this period, but fast as they were, their pace looks comparatively slow when measured against the lightening speed by which the homosexual agenda has proceeded in recent years. Indeed, it seems as though our culture is being driven by the Gay Express.
Estimated at only a few percent of the population, homosexuals project a larger presence partly because so many of them are strategically situated in the cultural command centers of the media, Hollywood, the professoriate, and the publishing world. The clergy do not lack for disproportionate numbers either, and I dont mean merely in Catholic circles: the Episcopalian clergy, especially on the coasts, is heavily gay. But there arent enough homosexuals in society to score such dramatic gains all by themselves, which is why sympathetic heterosexuals are the real key.
The American people are not the problem, the elites are. In 32 states where voters have been asked to decide whether to expand the definition of marriage to cover homosexuals, none has agreed to do so. Even in California, one of the most liberal states in the nation, the people said no. In the few states where gay marriage is legal, the people were never consulted: either the state legislature, or a judge, granted two men the right to marry. And in places like New York State, lawmakers never even had a public hearing on the issue.
This fall things may change.

When sin is winked at, it becomes entrenched, and multiplies. Eventually it is in power.
Yes, that is the truth.
TOTALLY AGREE.
Send them back to the closet and nail the door shut!!!!
“Slow down”?
Are they kidding me?
The point of the “gay agenda” is to criminalize Christianity.
Yeah, let’s just “slow down” criminalizing Christianity.
Yes, I would agree that the time for “slowing down” passed us by a long time ago. I think nothing less than a sudden, whip-lash reversal would do any good at this juncture.
EXPOSURE.
When faced with the blunt truth that codifying the gay agenda is essentially criminalizing Christianity, and drawing this line in the sand,
many of the homo-supporters will know in their heart what side they have to be on, choosing the approval of God over the approval of man.
And, for those who choose the approval of man, they have to go on record now and forever of choosing against God, and they will be known for that from then on.
The article concludes by stating that “it’s time to derail this gay train express,” not slow it down, and I agree with THAT!
Yes, well said.
Yes, knock it right off the tracks. It has sped along merrily for far too long.
Its amazing to watch how in a span of just a few years gay marriage went from something that was a preposterous idea to something that is now considered radical to oppose.
Yes, and that’s what happens when activists follow the liberal playbook, and no one bothers to nip it in the bud...
Homosexuality is not two old ladies sitting in front of a fire knitting. Homosexuality is insanity. They want you to believe it’s just holding hands and watching musicals.
A male trying to mate with another male’s anal canal is insane. A female trying to mate with another female using a rubber appliance is insane. It’s like Aunt Thelma sitting at your dinner table trying to eat by sticking a turkey baster in her ear and telling you that’s her lifestyle. It may be her lifestyle, but it’s still insane behavior.
