“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

In just Ga alone, more than 500,000 deer hunters are expected in the field opening day. All armed, most with high powered rifles, and many with off road vehicles.

How many law enforcement folks spent more than 5 years searching for Eric Rudolf? Just several hundred like him intent on disrupting normal LEO activities would tie up an enormous amount of resources.

last year I think it was found somewhere in the south, Georgia or some place like that out in the woods a setup of four Benelli autoloading 12 gauge shotguns that was fully remotely operable through the internet, they had the connection, the camera and was just waiting for some wild pigs. And a DIY chaingun isn’t hard for someone with machine shop skills, I know of quite a few plans from even one made for .22LR cartridges.

Many of us are very sophisticated, Mr. Karger. For example, we know that the Internet is the new airspace. He who commands the airspace wins the war (c.f. Egypt “Arab Spring”). Some of us are actually skilled computer professionals who design security solutions for a living. And when one designs a security solution, one must learn how a hacker defeats a security solution.

But enough about the electronic airspace.

Let’s talk about morale on the part of the confiscators. They live in America and have homes and families. Wouldn’t morale suffer if they are asked to fire on fellow citizens? Wouldn’t things be tough on them too?

You presume a Hobson’s Choice. There are so many options beyond the two you (falsely) offer us.

I won’t comply. I think that is probably the rationale for all these odd ball agencies buying large amounts of handgun ammunition. I suspect that the Food Stamp President does not trust the military and will go to consolidating all the odd ball agencies into Homeland Security. A lot of the big city police will be co-opted, but rural police, sheriffs, state police and western, midwestern and southern states will not comply. I don’t think the confiscation will be a stand alone operation. I think it will adjunct with a crisis such as an EMP, natural disaster, or some other crisis. It will then be sold as necessary to keep order, but the only disorder will be in the 50 largest progressive rat holes, but will be used for justification against all.

The agents who side with the government in the oppression of citizens need to know that we know where they and their families live, shop, vacation etc. How long would it take before they realized that the paycheck wasn't worth the payBACK.
