Yes, that struck me as odd. I mean there are some famous neo-cons out there: Bill Kristol, Max Boot, Condie Rice, Rumsfeld. Did the author talk with them about this? As for the rank and file of the Conservative movement not very many identify themselves as neo-cons. Strange choice of terminology.
