If things get to that stage, learn from what happened in Germany under the Third Reich.

Once disarmed, one IS helpless and defenseless.

Before that stage is reached, realize that to a collectivist government ALL citizens are like Jews in Germany.

Therefore, if you are going to be jailed/killed, have a plan for who you will kill before they kill you. DO NOT DIE LIKE A JEW IN GERMANY.

Then, get involved in politics, lest you be ruled by your inferiors - something the Romans knew.

The attorney seems to put mere survival above being a citizen of the Republic. Mere survival is not enough for Americans.
