“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.
And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

I don’t have any guns.
Nope. Can you imagine “anyone” attempting to “disarm” the State of Texas?

And I know how law enforcement and the military feel about this. Won’t happen.

I can just imagine a SWAT team going head to head with a feral hog hunting group. They hunt hogs from aircraft, they use chain guns, multiple auto loading 10 gauge shotguns, they have the latest in thermal imaging gear and they know danger up close.
Good luck Mr. Federales. You’r gonna have a lot of crying mothers I expect. More than likely a lot of ARMED crying angry mothers.

I pray to God you are right. However I was at the barber shop the other day.......and one guy in there was a police officer and said. “If things go down......your weapons will be confiscated.....no questions asked.” The hair on the back of my neck stood up and I didn’t say a WORD.....as i was overhearing a conversation between him and the barber.

What good are SWAT teams in open country?
In a city, yes. In the woods/sticks, worthless.
And what would the point be?
Good TV, bad real life.
The author is a jackass. If our military was so all-powerful, then we’d never hear mention of certain points on the globe- Vietnam, Afghanistan come to mind.
I don’t trust the police or the military to side with us. Too many of them will just follow orders. It has already happened in plenty of other countries why not here?

The cost of disarming me will be high. For them.
Have they considered that they have to find them first? Might be a bit more difficult than locating that next donut.

Not to mention, this whole discussion is rhetorical, as the imbeciles in D.C., as stupid as they can be at their worst, would never attempt it. They'd be chewed to shreds, and no force on Earth could save them. Any group of "leaders" who ever concocted and actually sent the ball up on this one would be done-for, finished, spent, played, over, finitio, kaput.
I think the technical term would be "Suicide by Patriot."

Either the point of this article is to provoke gun owning citizens to resist in a united front...in mass...or just to acquiesce and lay their guns at the feet of the state, bow down to the oncoming tyranny and accept inevitable subjugation.
