Haaahh nothing that dramatic.

But, yes I know some of the pilots who hunt hogs. And some of their support people.

What good are SWAT teams in open country?

In a city, yes. In the woods/sticks, worthless.

And what would the point be?

Good TV, bad real life.

I can just see this scenario, after a day of gun confiscation they return to the station, which has just been commandeered by a militia that then in returns tkes away those confiscated weapons.

Or the warehouse is attacked by gangs, drug lords or even pissed off people.

I bet the replica weapons industry will be booming, a fully detailed but non functioning wepon gets confiscated, so what they gonna do, throw you in jail for giving them a plastic or wood M16?

I would gladly spearhead a nationwide project on how to cheaply make a museum grade non working replica.

Its basically the square peg in a round hole scenario, they can talk about it till the sun turns blue, but it just ain;t gonna happen. I predict that should it occur no less than 100 million people will resist, are they prepared to shoot 100 million Americans? Or put them in prison, or garnish their wages, tax refunds, SS or anything else?

Just won’t happen, not small scale or large scale. They would have better luck using lopping shears to emasculate all males (cutting the you know whats).

last year I think it was found somewhere in the south, Georgia or some place like that out in the woods a setup of four Benelli autoloading 12 gauge shotguns that was fully remotely operable through the internet, they had the connection, the camera and was just waiting for some wild pigs. And a DIY chaingun isn’t hard for someone with machine shop skills, I know of quite a few plans from even one made for .22LR cartridges.
