Curious why the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3% to 8.1%, even as just 96,000 jobs were added? The labor participation rate declined from 63.7% to 63.5%, the lowest since 1981.

I do know one thing, this not counting people who completely have given the hell up on ever finding a job is BS. Anyone under retirement age should be counted as unemployed because they sure as hell are. If they did, it would be 20% even if you took out SSI disability etc.

I hate being lied to - and it doesn't matter who is in office. I have this unrealistic expectation that people who live off my taxes, should tell me the truth - even if the truth is something I may not like to hear. I want the truth.
Do they really think that everyone who is not on Team Obama is so stupid that they’d buy a last-minute drop? Besides, the U6 is much more in line with the real rate, and it’s at 14.7% and even then they’re not counting millions of people.

They work backwards from the unemployment rate they want to report to get the “labor participation rate”.
The govt. just arbitrarily decided not to count 370,000 unemployed people as unemployed anymore. As far as this administration is concerned they don’t exist anymore.

Well, for starters, a LOT of these people who are no longer able to collect unemployment (unemployment benefits expire after 26 weeks (possibly longer, depending upon your state), then these people go on Disability.
Why is this a really bad thing? Because now these people are getting disability payments for the rest of their life. Why would you work at all, if you are getting paid benefits for life - without having to do a thing? Think of it, you can retire for life at the ripe old age of 35; perhaps take a part time (cash only) job; and have your house, medical insurance, food, utilties, clothes, car, gas and even your entertainment expenses paid for by the Gov't. And the extra cash? Hell, why not go on a cruise - it's not like you don't have the time.

Obama manchurianism sees the apocalyptic picture of the third world from which he comes, and he wants it on America, and he is preparing a collective of illegals and blacks to counter the “counter-revolution” to the Mugabean Zimbabwe salt mines. Bush Jr. was also responsible in that too, with this cheap do goodism of recklessness.
The one difficulty with your proposal is posed by stay-at-home mothers (or these days fathers). It is difficult to discern the difference between someone who has dropped out of the labor market in despair and someone who has dropped out to intentionally pursue non-remunerated work (and raising children is definitely work, and very valuable work when done at all well, even though it is not remunerated) without directly surveying them. One solution would be to count people staying out of paid employment to raise their family as working, but that would require revising and reconsidering all the historical data, since I have no idea what corresponds to "full employment" if one counts takes all working-age people as the population, rather than "the labor market" as traditionally defined, and counts those parenting as employed.
