Somehow, I knew you would like that one! :)
No rain. :( and, yes we do need it still!
Looking forward to better days everywhere!
30 yards from your front door is pretty close!
Is your dog inside while you are at work?
Was someone able to corral and/or herd the bear out of harm’s way for both bear and human?
It did indeed.
So did the salute, even more so perhaps. I'm sure your hubby would understand that feeling.
I just remembered, I will get to salute Old Glory tomorrow before the football game. Hope I can hold it for the entire National Anthem and I don't melt. It's supposed to be upper 90s and humid at kickoff time. :(
How are all the grands doing? They are not babies anymore.
And a new one on the way...WOOHOO!
You’re psychic .. LOL !!

Thanks, Sir Francis for the video tunes for our troops to enjoy. ((HUGS))
they are doing very well. While I was unemployed, for 17 months, I took the little ones from their (separate) pre-school classes to their day care center. Same center, but they were in different rooms, except at first. Works a lot better with them in separate rooms. They are each the oldest and the smallest in their room.
The smaller of the two (even though they are identical twins) goes 5 days a week for 4 hours for occupational and speech. The bigger one only goes 2 days for 2 hours each, just for speech. The little one actually has better pronounciation. But twins often have that issue. They’ll be fine.
Their Big Sis is in 2nd grade. She still does some “pull out” special needs, but is doing well in regular class, excep for her printing, which is really bad. She’s made so much improvment, her whole personality has changed somewhat, to a much happier little girl, at least on the outside, on the inside I think she was always pretty happy. That’s due in part to her now being able to swallow pills. Before she had to have the contents put on something else, and I don’ think she was getting a full dose of her anti-virals. But boy had it made a difference. She’s an orange bell in Tong So Do, a Korean karate similiar to Tae Quon Do. She can break boards with foot, hand or elbow. We happened to be picking her up the day she broke her first one. :)
The other grandparents of the new one are really excited, as this is their first one. I have seen the second sonogram, he first was done because of a condition my daughter has which could have caused problems, but doesn’ seem to have. Second one showed brain, lungs and heart to be right on schedule. Even with the first one, they could see the heart beating, and that was only about 4 weeks after conception. Heart isn’t even inside the body at that point. With the second one they could see the blood flowing in the umbilical cord. FReaking amazing.
How’s everything with you? I’ve been re-reading Jeff Head’s Dragon Fury series, including the exploits of a thinly disguised FReeper with the handle “Orca” ... almost done. On my Kindle this time, which saves wear and tear on my hard copies.

Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye - Toby Beau
They aren't babies, but most people guess the twins are about 3, but they will be 5 in November. They are just small. Poor kids will still be in car seats when they are in 3rd grade I think. Big sis, at 7, has graduated to a booster seat and is so proud to be able to latch and unlatch her own seat belt.. although sometimes you have to help by feeding her some slack in the belt. She is out of it before we can get around to open the door for her.
Last spring the bigger twin told me while we were going from pre-school to day care, that "girls can't play basketball".. I told her they could, but I don't think she believed me.. until.. the next weekend I was helping my daughter take them to a shoe store for new tennies. There was a middle school, probably 8th grade, girls basketball team outside the store doing a fundraiser. I took her to them and said "This girl says girls can't play basketball" Boy did that set them off. :) They all rushed over and were telling her that they all played, and she could play too. Then I told them how old she was and said "well, maybe guard". She's got the aggressiveness to play that position, that's for sure and for certain, but height is going to be a problem.
Big one calls me Grandpa, while the little one still says "PawPaw". She can say "grandpa" she just likes "PawPaw" better. Big one tried to correct her, but I told them that the little one can call me PawPaw if she wants, as long as she can say grandpa, which she can.
The guys that have to stand up, hook-up and shuffle to the door” sure have a lot of stuff!
Thanks Air Force for the “can” and thanks Army for the “whoop-ass”.
Thanks for the update....I remember them being small, and one smaller than the other.
A sign of growing up...able to do your own seat belt. LOL!
How opportune that you found the basketball players at just the right time. Little in stature can still be wicked accurate making baskets. Gotta get started young! d:o)
“I am independent!! I know what you call him, but I like what I call him.” LOL!! Sounds like maybe a twin thing.
Thanks, Liberty, for the video tunes for the troops to enjoy. ((HUGS))
You’re so welcome Luv W.
