The Twitter account of Barack Obama responded last night to Clint Eastwood's Republican convention speech mocking Obama with an empty chair.
A photo captioned "This seat's taken" was posted featuring a rear view of Obama presiding over a meeting while seated in a highback leather chair with a brass plaque on the back embossed, "THE PRESIDENT January 20, 2009"
If the photo doesn't load, here's the URL: http://p.twimg.com/A1mY4mRCAAM_qwX.jpg:large
They don’t get it, the chair is STILL empty. We need to make that a meme, someone Photoshop the words “STILL EMPTY.” in that picture and viralize it!
watching it now, or trying to LOL and it’;s brilliant.
Obama and his ilk have so much soft skin and where was the joking about 57 states, corps and corpse , Austrian is a language
This from Eastwood bio:
“Eastwood worked odd jobs as a hay bailer, logger, truck driver, and steel-furnace stoker. In 1950, he was called to military duty with the Army Special Services, based at Ford Ord in Monterey, California. While in the Army, Eastwood met actors David Janssen and Martin Milner, who convinced him to move to Los Angeles in 1954 after he finished his military duty. Eastwood took a screen test and signed a contract with Universal for seventy-five dollars a week. His first roles were in the science fiction films Revenge of the Creature (1955), and Tarantula (1955). Eastwood’s rugged looks landed him the role of Rowdy Yates in the CBS TV series Rawhide (1959), which ran for eight seasons.”
Clint Eastwood served in the US Military.
It’s a balloon with ears!
SOMEWHERE IN KENYA A SMALL VILLAGE IS MISSING IT'S IDIOT.
lol!
Thanks for the info. My comment was not intended to diminish Eastwood. Ebert has him as his hero not for his service to the country, but as an actor. Eastwood is not a hero for his acting. He is for his service.
Obama’s ego won’t allow criticism, let alone his being made fun of. Especially when that ego is the target of the parody.
Thats the best reply to Eastwood they could come up with?
For now that is, or until January 2013.
This just in: Empty Chair’s approval rating at 68%.
As a matter of fact, Obama has become a PARODY.
Actually, he’s become a joke. What Eastwood accomplished last night was to make it all right for people to openly joke about Obama. Eastwood opened the door, and that’s what has all the Obama lovers upset. It’s OK now to make fun of him. And ridicule is a very powerful force.
Look for the late night tv hosts to take over after that.
The Moslem Brotherhood will be taking over
all US nuclear weapons by my executive order.
got that right, they can give it but can;t take it like all other bullies around.
I won’t hold my breath for that. They’re all on the liberal bandwagon. We won’t see any change in the media coverage. They’re already voicing their disgust over Clint’s speech last night.
No, it won’t come from late night TV, but it will come from ordinary Americans finally finding their voice. Maybe a few of the conservative pundits as well. But it is OK now for us, the voters to finally voice our disgust with this man, and the mockery he’s made of the office, and America as a whole.
The media is really going after Clint today, so the thin skin isn’t relegated to Obama. The door to ridicule has been opened and that has to put the fear into them far more than cogent, reasonable logic ever could. That they can ignore or spin. Ridicule they can’t other than call it racist. And America has woke up to that useless meme.
