As humans, we are unfortunately doomed to make mistakes, over and over again.  What sets people apart are those who CONFESS to their mistakes, ask forgiveness and try to repair any damage done.  As a Christian, the Lord asks us to forgive those who trespass against us, just as He does for us.

Yes, as humans we all continually make mistakes.  None the less, we strive to become educated and make as few of them as possible.  I do believe in the concept of confessing our mistakes and asking, even expecting forgiveness.  Where we're [you and I] having a disconnect here, is the issue of who should be forgiving this guy.  I don't personally have a problem with the guy, until his antics start screwing with the image of Republicans at large.  And I say this only in recognition of the fact that it is the Republican image that must remain good for people to sign on to support it's candidates.

Look, I drive through an intersection and hurt people.  I can't just take that back.  What I did has consequences.  What Akin did has consequences.  If he had apologized and touched on certain points with candor expressing a comprehension of what mitakes he made, he may have been able to wiggle out of this mess.  It was when he went back and tried to apologize and only made it worse, that things got truly dicey.

What he did and failed to do, had consequences.  I can't stop that anymore than God is going to stop me from having to pay a civil penalty or fine for doing something wrong.

The issue of me liking this guy or not, forgiving him or not, is not the issue here.  The issue here is how stupid can one guy be, and how can he rehab himself from here.  I don't think he can, so I have tried to be realistic about what choice he was left with.

If you disagree, that's okay.  I'm not always right.  Perhaps I'll be proven wrong on this one.  We'll see.

I am the last person to state what is wrong or right. Fighting my own demons is hard enough!

For me personally, I believe He works in our daily lives. Perhaps just to see which crossroad we choose.

I chose my name NoGrayZone, because that is what I have been consistantly “accused” of.

I don’t live in gray. My world is black and white, right and wrong. To me, gray areas represent an area to do wrong.....and boy do people use it to the extreme!
