Your humble correspondent is so fascinated by his own navel that he spends hours each day just staring at it. In fact, I am so absorbed by that body part that I am planning on writing a biography about it called "Belly Button: A New Biography."
Should you think that I am over the top in narcissistic self-absorbtion, that is nothing compared to the book that former Al Gore "alpha male" consultant, Naomi Wolf, has written. I shall put the title of her about to be released book under the fold to give you the opportunity to put your coffee mugs down to spare drenching your computer monitors. Okay, are you ready? Here is the title:

I hear things get pretty hairy around Chapter 6.
I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that Naomi Wolf would write about and be praised for such drivel. Good lord. :-(
"Edward Gibbon (1737 - 1794) in his Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire (1976 - 1988) said that the following five attributes marked Rome at the end; first, a mounting love of show and luxury; second, a widening gap between the very rich and the very poor; third, an obsession with sex, fourth, freakishness in the arts, masquerading as originality, and enthusiasm pretending to be creativity; fifth, an increased desire to live off the state".
What is so damned special about hers that it merits a 400-page biography?
It seems like whenever left-wingers get really desperate, they start thinking about taking their clothes off.
>> she discovers [...] an increasing body of scientific evidence that suggests that the vagina is not merely flesh, but an intrinsic component of the female brainand thus has a fundamental connection to female consciousness itself.”
Haha. I think most guy would get smacked for suggesting a woman was “thinking with her ... [choose your own vulgarity]”.
Sounds like a book that might be good for a laugh. Dworkin’s “Intercourse” was a hoot.

Naomi Wolf is no lady. A female perhaps, but not a lady.
Reader’s Digest used to do these stories all the time:
“I am Joe’s pancreas.”
THis is just
“I am Jill’s VaJayJay”.
Alternate titles:
“Travels with ‘gina: The Strange Travels of my Lady Parts.”
“I’m Like a Diner - Open 24/7.”
“Admit It, You Bought the This for the Pictures”
Classics!!!! Thanks for that quote. This is the “knowledge” that was removed by John Dewey so that human beings would NOT get off the “wheel of history” like our Founders did.
The vast study of history and philosophy and laws gives one the ability to become wise that ordinary everyday experiences do not allow. This destruction of Knowledge in our schools——to insert “social” sciences and one’s own experiences and moral relativism (Dewey pragmatism).....Is FATAL.
We are reaping the years of destruction of the minds of generations of children, so they are unable to understand the world and politics and make moral decisions.
Just bought some sets of Gibbon’s classic work from a used book store to give as Christmas gifts :) .
These people so lack any sort of meaningful spiritiality that they turn towards themselves and start anthro-porn- morphising a mere body part. They have in essence have become empty headed self-animists...
Instead of putting their own brain on a pedistal they seek to worship a piece of flesh that gives them some short term pleasure while ignoring the seat of the soul and that is the mind which leads to long term fullfillment.
There’s something fishy about this book....
“an increasing body of scientific evidence that suggests that the vagina is not merely flesh, but an intrinsic component of the female brain”
Good. For years, guys have been accused of thinking with the other head rather than the one on their shoulders.
So apparently girls also name their parts, so they too, can be accused of being on a first name basis with the thing that makes 95% of their decisions.
Fair’s fair.
I hear the introduction is by “The Man in the Boat”.
Seriously, folks, the New York Literary Establishment
has so overdone their own navel-gazing, in the form of their
never-ending fascination with themselves as a culturally indispensable social group, that it’s only natural one of their ilk moves southward several inches to examine another
body part.
I also hear she snagged Al Gore to write the afterword, which explores in finest academic interdisciplinary style, the connection between Global Warming and the Global Vagina.
Of course, it was probably the cheap-to-produce play
“The Vagina Monologues” that made this Wolf book possible.
I knew Naomi was headed for insanity when I read something
by her which devoted thousands of words to the significance
of horny old Professor Harold Bloom, muttering some flattering
words to her, as he reached under the table to touch her knee. She got so into the significance of that one moment in
time you’d think she’d discovered some kind of Sexual General Theory of Relativity. This kind of crap is just the
academic equivalent of a frivolous lawsuit, where a fender-bender at 2 MPH is seen as the cause of permanent disability.
Another alternate:
“The Sisterhood of the Traveling Vaginas”.
A guy I listen to has a saying about studying history -
we don’t study history in order to avoid making the same mistakes as were made in the past,
we study history so that we recognize when today’s assclowns are making the same mistakes as yesterday’s assclowns, understand the consequences, and prepare accordingly.
Liberals: Do it if it feels good, damned the consequences. They have absolutely no self control. I never dated a liberal: Never knew where she had been.
Having seen her pics, I'm guessing that it wasn't autobiographical.
