A new bill that’s the first of its kind has opinion hotly divided in California, this time over whether parents can be banned from trying to “cure” their gay children. Senate Bill 1172, which would prohibit all “sexual orientation change efforts” for minors, is through the legislature and slated to land on the governor's desk in September.

The state is wresting parental rights from parents in an effort to push acceptance of the perverted lifestyle of a scant few.
I am puzzled, a group comprised of less than 2% of the population, that has made a poor choice resulting in an average thirty years loss of life span, that can not reproduce so has to recruit, insists on dictating to 98% of the population how that 98% should conduct their lives. Good luck with that. NOT!
The life spans of homosexuals is much shorter than that of the population as a whole. The last I saw was thirty years shorter both male and female. With aids some what under control that will have changed some but I have not seen anything on that yet. Numerous studies/surveys have found that homosexuals most certainly do not exceed 2% of the population of this nation. Now homosexuals have every freedom that any other citizen has in this nation. What they seem to want is hyper rights that overwhelm the rights of non homosexuals. They want to inflict their sexual habits on children as young as six years of age. They want to teach the “joys” of anal sex and fisting to Jr high students. They want to fondle each other in public. They want the age of consent lowered to twelve. And each of the last four sentences constitute recruiting.
This legislation constitutes recruiting. This legislation clearly shows there is no minimum intelligence required to be a politician.
Hmmm...the way that reads one could put forth the argument that gay propaganda, gay education and other such nonsense IS an attempt to change the sexual orientation of heterosexual children.

It could be used that way if one inclines. I haven’t read the bill, but if the rest is as generic as that line, it could be used to prevent any sort of gender identity discussions in schools, gay or straight.
It could backfire on the intent of those who wrote it.

The same thing happened on the national level when Obama was elected. Many people knew what was coming down the pike under an Obama presidency, and their fears have become reality. And if he has his way, the entire nation will soon resemble California (and will eventually slide down the economic pit until it is “transformed” into a giant version of North Korea).
I think I saw 10 years ago some CDC statistics that puts the median age of mortality for gay men at around 44 years old. What was interesting Actually sad & tragic!) was it was not significantly different from that of gay men with AIDS.

They need to remove God’s Standard of Right and Wrong-—to replace it with Tom, Dick’s or Barney’s==so they can have arbitrary laws (unjust laws) and destroy our Constitution and eliminate all freedoms—and Natural Rights.
Culture will determine the worldview of your children. THEY control the culture-—but they need to get rid of those pesky parents who don’t allow their children to absorb the homosexual culture of Bareback Mt. and Glee morality peddled in all MSM. I agree with you. I have a much younger trans gender cousin who started life as a female and now exists as Lord only knows what on “her” way to becoming a man (if someone told me 20 years ago that I would type that sentence...just saying) Anyhow. Her parents are divorced. Mom married a convict that she met online and her dad wanted nothing to do with her once he met his third wife.
This kid was an honors student who just wanted attention from people who were supposed to give it to her. When she went on this tear in pursuit of mutilation of her body, all she had to do was drive 1200 miles and hand over a few thousand dollars in order to have her breasts removed. The fact that therapy was not REQUIRED prior to this mutilation is crazy. That some might want to ban it entirely is just beyond insane. I know that gay and transgender are different. But seriously, once you start down this slippery slope it is really just splitting hairs.
The backyard “wedding” was a sham-solemn event with an MCC “pastor,” full of platitudes and wrested scripture. This I knew from having attended a private Baptist school for several years in my youth. It was brief enough, though, and then on to the drunken revelry.
I'll add at this point that they regarded themselves as both being “straight” because of this hormonal and surgical alteration to one of the pair. It was mindboggling to me at the time, and still is.
To make a long story short, the party went on to the wee hours and I stumbled upon the still-entirely-female of the pair on a trip to the bathroom. She was in there with another lesbian, in a very compromising position and in a flagrant state of undress. Beyond that I won't describe. On her “wedding” night. In their house.
I never got over the hypocrisy and the dishonesty of that. I actually pitied the other of the pair at that point. Such a lie they were living. What was the point?
It's all a lie, they don't want to do anything but force other people to regard them as normal. They particularly want to force churches to marry them and to stop calling their behavior sin.

This can be very profitable for Arizona. Just across the border they can have rehab facilities for homosexual children, along with farms to make foie gras, Indian reservation cigarettes at a fraction of the California price, as well as “non-green” gasoline for a few dollars less per gallon.
And while you’re there, you can get some target practice in on the shooting range, buy a crate of disposable plastic grocery bags, get some Happy Meals with toys for the kids, and get a stack of novelty bumper stickers to put on liberals cars.

Your statement that homosexuals do not reproduce is biologically false: they are not sterile although I suspect you wish they were. Many have had children the old fashioned way. Never mind; you believe in "recruitment."
You obviously believe in a myth that, until someone intervenes, all children are heterosexual and none comes into adolescence to discover he or she doesn't fit neatly into the "boy like girls" and "girls like boys" world you've taught them. You teach a lie. You leave them confused, afraid. They hide. They become vulnerable targets to those wanting to reach them with "the truth" which may not be Truth but, rather, savvy social-political enlistment that pigeon holes them into an intolerant "gay community" commanding rejection of family, embrace of liberal progressivism, rejects Faith values and trades celibacy for hedonism.

Congregation after congregation fails to provide a life path for homosexuals (even those who don't "practice") and children facing their own orientation issues at puberty. We see the "God Hates Fags" Westboro Baptist crazies with whom you might identify based on your statements. We see other, like the Catholics, who preach disinterested friendship and calling homosexuals to chastity. There's those, like some on this thread, who believe in unproven "reparative" or "conversion" therapies but, when put to the test, wouldn't want their daughter marrying an "ex-gay" or their granddaughter parented by an "ex-lesbian" nor would they take on such a relationship themselves. Some others take on the Left's permissive attitude in spite of their holy writ.
In that light, it's no surprise the Left is so successful with the young. Some of those loudest claiming to be on the Right are obsessed, bumbling and befuddled, full of anger, blind rage and accusations but no solutions, no alternatives. There's a failure of leadership. The believed they've been lied to, or worse, and the Left feeds that thought process to hook more future voters for their agenda.
They get them at the perfect time in a human life cycle too. It's puberty, when they're hormonal, they desire independence from their parents, to go their own way, make their marks on the world, to no longer be controlled by arbitrary authority.
If the bill prevents quacks from getting rich by offering false hope and exacerbating the internal conflict within young lives, it's doing everyone a service. There's no medical science in the 'cure' column. 'Cure' snake-oil fads preying on the faithful are shown to be, at best, ineffectual coping systems.
