No yolk: eating the whole egg as dangerous as smoking?

Just as you were ready to tuck into a nice three-egg omelet again, comforted by the reassuring news that eggs are not so bad for you, here comes a study warning that for those over 40, the number of egg yolks consumed per week accelerates the thickening of arteries almost as severely as does cigarette smoking.
Server, can you make that an egg-white omelet instead, please?

My eggs stick to the pan when I cook them in bacon grease.I got a great new cast iron skillet at Cracker Barrel. It has a textured surface that helps with the desticking. Works well. They have lots of sizes, plus lids. AND, I get to eat at a place with "Cracker" in the name! Almost the same crowd as Chick-fil-A!

"Crapola..."Do you suppose the egg industry isn't 'donating' enough money to the Obama campaign, that they might be conservatives? Sort of like the (Gibson Guitar raid)....run successfully by a conservative.... Holder's department got their attention while stonewalling the Fast & Furious investigation.....Janet Reno did much the same thing to Microsoft....Gates got on board as I recall, regardless of the wonderful monetary support the Gates do for many, the Clinton administration tried to cook that goose. Or maybe this is just a publish or parish bit....eggs are a complete food....my Girls (conservative hens) lay fresh ones for us daily and they are truly delicious!

I eat 2 to 3 fresh eggs almost every morning. More often than not, I poach them. I no longer eat a breakfast meat except for Saturday morning.
Occasionally, I will have only one duck or goose egg instead of chicken eggs.
I free range all of my birds and while I do spoil them with ‘some’ feed, they get no chemicals. My birds, over 100 of these critters, are healthy and happy.
I asked my heart doc about this and she told me to keep exercising, laugh, live and be happy..... “Everything in moderation”.
These bipolar shills, that are living off government grants, can KMA...
I have studied this issue for over 63 years and have concluded that when it’s time to die, I’ll probably be about 8 minutes late, but I will surely die.

Olive oil? Have you ever tried cooking them in butter? I whip melted butter into scrambling eggs, absolutely delicious.

I get to eat at a place with "Cracker" in the name! Almost the same crowd as Chick-fil-A!I love Cracker Barrel, but the one around here is in a location with horrific traffic. The Chick-Fil-A, on the other hand, is between my house and several places I go regularly. Tom and I will get milkshakes later when I pick him up at the Red Cross office in the county seat. So we'll die someday ... whatever ...

Want to take the bite ( acid taste ) out of pizza or tomato sauce ? put a little bit of sugar in the tomato sauce.
Twenty five years ago my wife broke her arm, so I cooked for a few weeks.
One of the "tricks" I had picked up somewhere years earlier was putting sugar in tomato sauce.
My two sons loved my sauce so much, they wouldn't let my wife make pasta again for years.

Methinks I'll have two eggs over easy, four strips of bacon, home fries, piece of toast with butter, coffee, and a bloody mary on Saturday.

While I wholeheartedly agree with your post, I do find it rather comical that you posted it as a Dr!

A common misunderstanding. Dr. Sivana is the prototype of the comic book evil mad scientist.
He's not the kind of doctor you'd go to for medical advice. He probably knoiws the answer, but would just as soon see you suffer.

Breakfast at Cracker Barrel is OK but any other meal is suspect. The food is cooked someplace else and shipped in and thawed out. the staff can't even tell you what's in it because they didn't cook it. Most folks don't care but I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities. My husband ordered a beef dish and the meat was blue, kid you not, it was BLUE. We have not been back.

I have undergone two triple bypasses (1983 & 2008) so I’ve always been aware of my intake of visible eggs and until fairly limited them to two a month. Then “ they” said they weren’t quite the villains that we thought, so I increased my intake to couple of times a week, usually with Canadian bacon, one slice of toast, grits and decaf. Now “they” say no nore than 3x weekly. Up until a month or so ago I exercised every day, when spine issues emerged. I turned 70 last month.

I am so sorry. I never meant to commit an offense against pizza!
You have to realize that I may never find myself in the pizza Mecca which is New Haven, CT, so I am just floundering around out here in CA, trying to compensate for the fact that the pizza sauce is frequently blah, by adding more interesting stuff on top.
But if I ever make it to CT, I’ll happily go with traditional red sauce, cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms.
