Two people, including one security guard, were shot at the office of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., this morning.
The police are investigating this incident, said FRC President Tony Perkins in a statement on the shooting. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.
The shooter was also reportedly shot, according to a local news report, which notes that the FBI is at the scene.
The Family Research Council is a socially-conservative non-profit that participates in cultural debates about abortion, traditional marriage, and religious liberty.
A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group’s policy positions.
The guard, who was not identified, was conscious after the shooting and was being treated. The shooting occurred in the Chinatown neighborhood Wednesday morning. The gunman was apprehended and was being questioned by the FBI, sources said.
The suspect “made statements regarding their policies, and then opened fire with a gun striking a security guard,” a source told Fox News.
Authorities were treating the attack as a case of domestic terrorism.

I think that Joe is going to get dumped. The Dems took a look at their polling data after this weekend and told Joe to jump under the bus so they can bring Hillary on board.
Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Officer Araz Alali confirmed to POLITICO that one security guard, an adult male, was shot in the arm at approximately 10:50 a.m. and was conscious and breathing after the shooting. He was transported to a local hospital.
Alali said one suspect is in custody in connection with the shooting and the investigation is ongoing. There is no motive in the case yet, Alali said.
The FBI is also investigation the shooting and an evidence response team is on the scene now, FBI public affairs specialist Rebecca Callahan told POLITICO. A suspect is in custody, she said, but while the investigation continues it is too early to determine the persons connection with the FRC.

Do NOT think that the MSNBC Klux Klan is going to take Obama’s EPIC defeat quietly. These people are mentally unstable to begin with!!
These useful liberal idiots have been manipulated and lied to, for years, and they aren’t going to take this quietly, I fear.
And the blame can be placed DIRECTLY at the feet of Obama and his Soros-financed cronies.
FRC is on the The Southern Poverty Law Center list of hate groups IIRC. Along with the KKK, skinheads and Nazis.
Don’t worry, the MSM will ignore this.
I blame Obama and the Black Panthers!
Oh my. I felt sick when I saw the headline here. I hope the guard recovers ASAP.
Huh. Just because Fox News says this doesn’t make it true. I WISH authorities would treat this as domestic terrorism.
But I won’t hold my breath.
A day after Biden said “they’re gonna put ya’ll back in chains.”
Just imagine if the roles were reversed.
Romney says what Biden said. A right winger (the next day) shoots up a Planned Parenthood.
The media would be going ballistic.
Screw Politico! They are not going to divulge the truth of this shooting! Damn jackals!
Oh God help us.......God protect those at FRC!!!
Aren’t guns still illegal in DC while the mayor refuses to sign law?
Impossible. DC is inundated with gun laws!
Obama sleeper cells waking up all over.
The Aaish are at it again. /sar
Bingo! Excellent point.
I pray that I am wrong.

An open, armed attack on Christianity, nothing less.
Seems the left and the muslims have a lot in common. This sounds like something that would happen in Egypt, except there would not be a Family Research Council to begin with.
