Two people, including one security guard, were shot at the office of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., this morning.
The police are investigating this incident, said FRC President Tony Perkins in a statement on the shooting. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.
The shooter was also reportedly shot, according to a local news report, which notes that the FBI is at the scene.
The Family Research Council is a socially-conservative non-profit that participates in cultural debates about abortion, traditional marriage, and religious liberty.

I’ve always said: Postmodernism taken in it’s logical (this may be an oxymoron we’re talking about with reguard to this ‘philosophy’) is self-defeating!
But still bring cameras so as to “expose” any troublemakers.

Some of the hateful left are just thrilled and continue to advocate yet more violence against Christians. Some of them are obsessed with their Christophobia. Read the comments under this article:

Sources told Fox News that after guard took away his gun, the suspect said, "Don't shoot me, it was not about you, it was what this place stands for."Hey James, here's a clue about the gunman's motive: His statement that "it was what this place stands for".Authorities were treating the attack as a case of domestic terrorism, although James McJunkin, the head of the FBIs Washington Field Office, said authorities do not yet know the gunman's motive.
WARNING!!!: I want to stress, the following information is about a “Floyd Corkins” but may or may not be the same “Floyd Corkins” involved the Family Research Council shooting. This is provided as search information only. Regardless, let the authorities take their proper action.
The Facebook page for someone with a similar name (http://www.facebook.com/floyd.corkins) lists an affiliation with George Mason University (GMU). GMU is located in Fairfax, VA.
Media reports indicate the shooter was 28 years old (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/family-research-council-shooter-identified/). His name does not come up when searching the GMU web site (http://peoplefinder.gmu.edu/index.php?search=Floyd+Corkins&group=students&x=0&y=0). He could be a former student, however.
If it is the same guy, Floyd Corkins also signed a petition in support of Tariq Khan, sponsored by the GMU Students for Peace (http://www.petitiononline.com/petitions/gmutariq/signatures?page=2). The petition is signed by “Floyd Corkins I”.
Here is addition information on the 2005 Tariq Khan case.

That high school isn’t exactly what one would have expected.
Hey remember when Obama said “when they bring a knife to the fight, bring a gun”? Anyone in the MSM gonna blame him for today’s shooting? I’ll wait
>”The guard is conscious and breathing”<
Do I really have to say it? Yep...
Better than being Conscious and NOT breathing I guess.
I’ve been thinking about that for years.
Do we get to claim that Biden and Obama set the tone with their overheated rhetoric? Huh? Do we? Do we? Do we?
Down, boy. Down. Only Dems get to say things like that. The MSM will just claim we’re exploiting a tragedy and launch into a tirade about guns.
