Students from seven schools across the country have launched petitions on Change.org demanding removal of Chick-fil-A franchises over the companys anti-gay stance.
From Change.org:
WASHINGTON, DC Students from seven schools across the country have launched petitions on Change.org in the past 48 hours demanding the removal or prevention of Chick-fil-A franchises on their campuses following this weeks media blitz over the fast food chains public stance against same-sex marriage.
The petitions target officials at the University of Illinois, University of Kansas, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Ball State University, College of Charleston, Wichita State University, and Minnesota State University.
In the last several days, the president of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy, reaffirmed the company's anti-gay marriage stance and their allocation of funds to support organizations countering the marriage equality movement, wrote James Castle, a recent graduate of KU, in his petition on Change.org. Because Chick-fil-A's stance on gay rights could create a hostile environment for queer youth and allies, having a Chick-fil-A on campus deeply conflicts with The University of Kansas Mission on Values and the Chancellor's and Provost's personal commitments to diversity at KU.
Last week, a media firestorm erupted when it was revealed that Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told a radio interviewer that as it relates to society in general, I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than You as to what constitutes a marriage... I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about."
Chick-fil-As charitable arm, The WinShape Foundation, has long been a supporter of organizations that aim to ban same-sex marriage. Through WinShape and direct charitable donations, Chick-fil-A is reported to have given more than $2 million to anti-gay groups.
The student-led movement to block Chick-fil-A from college campuses began last fall when students at 11 schools launched petitions on Change.org after a similar round of media coverage. One such student at Northeastern University started a Change.org petition that, after gaining just over 600 signatures, helped in stopping Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant on its campus. Another student at New York University launched a petition on Change.org that attracted nearly 15,000 signatures, sparking protests against Chick-fil-As presence that continue to roil the campus.

This is just an outgrowth of the persistent pro-homosexual agenda being foisted on the kids in our elementary and high schools.
Chick-Fil-A is the new South Africa.
these imbeciles ought not burn their bridges...Chick-A-Fil may be the only job they can get after graduation
Across the nation? Bunk—the kids are on vacation.
I would be eating at Chick Fil A on Wed., except that there isn’t one within 50 miles of here. But, I used to love their sandwiches, and I’ll eat there if one opens in the neighborhood.
Hmmm... looking at the poster, I’m thinking maybe Chick-fil-A could sue someone for unauthorized use of a copyrighted/trademarked logo.
Last night on the local DC news, I heard them say the owner of CFA ‘donates to hate groups’.
The ‘hate group’ in question [as defined by the Southern Poverty Law mob] was Focus On The Family.
Seriously.
I love FOTF and listen to their radio broadcasts all the time.
This is a case of the 2 percent herding the mindless majority, people who better get used it, because they’ve lost the good sense to lead themselves.
Of these Organizations that attempt to “cure” Homosexuality, do they kidnap innocent happy Gays off the street and force treatment on them?
My guess is the Gays in question seek treatment because they want to improve their lives, just like Alcoholics that attend AA Meetings.
Oh, yeah. Wife and I are making our first-ever visit to Chick-fil-A on Wednesday.
LET’S ROLL !!!!!
This petition looks like it’s winning BIG time! Funny as hell.

They've been there for how long?
And then, all of a sudden, they could create a hostile environment?
They COULD create a hostile environment ?
BTW: using the company logo like they have in the sign is a violation of the company's copyright. They should be sued for copyright infringement.
I refuse to believe that Gay is Cool.
Because only sick people need a doctor.
[paraphrased]
The ‘belly of the beast’ is where the light shines brightest.
:)
Plenty of useful idiots on both sides. I see all the cultural “warriors” haven’t noticed that Sheldon Adelson owned chapels conduct gay “wedding” ceremonies.
You are correct!! You beat me to it. I'd sue their asses.
Those kids don’t know what they want. They just do what their idiot liberal professors tell them to do.
I think the gays would prefer going to Dick-Fil-A....I’ll leave it to you to determine what the “A” stands for.
