AURORA, Colo. James Holmes, the accused gunman in last Friday's midnight movie massacre in Colorado, mailed a notebook "full of details about how he was going to kill people" to a University of Colorado psychiatrist before the attack, but the parcel sat unopened in a mailroom for as long as a week before its discovery Monday, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com.

Ummm...
I cant see or understand how or why he would fire the shotgun, discard it,...
Because the tube mag is clumsy to reload?
The recoil from one-armed shooting would be enough to break someones wrist.
Ummm...
?? Where do you get that it's going to weigh 50 lbs? This 90-round .223 drum mag weighs under 4 lbs loaded.
I cant see or understand how or why he would fire the shotgun, discard it, then switch between the rifle and the pistol. The recoil from one-armed shooting would be enough to break someones wrist.
Recoil from which? The AR-15 has minimal recoil. The shotgun has more recoil, but a physically-fit man can shoot one one-handed without pain.
The notebook was sent to the Professor with more than enough time for there to be repercussions.
More than enough time to shut him down.
So the question is why did he send it so far in advance.
Exhibit A: Inside the package was a notebook full of details about how he was going to kill people, the source told FoxNews.com. There were drawings of what he was going to do in it -- drawings and illustrations of the massacre."
Among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebooks pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figures.
Exhibit B: Agent Dave Joly, of the FBIs Denver Division, declined to comment on the matter, citing a gag order issued Monday by Arapahoe County District Judge William Sylvester. Arapahoe County District Attorney Carol Chambers' office and Aurora police also could not comment due to the gag order.
Soomeone appears to be in contempt. Was this info allowed deliberately?
Gee, we’re just getting cynicaler and cynicaler.
Great question!
He had a psychiatrist?
It’s possible the notebook evidence was planted.
Remember the claim by Mcveigh that a chip was implanted in him.
I searched around to see if anyone ever tried to disprove or prove his claim - really didn’t find anything.
Both places would have had massive deaths that would likely dwarf his shooting deaths. This guy was on a mission. He luckily chose guns over bombs. Bombs would have been far worse.
Call me cynical. After all, this is the same university that made Ward Churchill a professor of 'ethnic' studies.
Was it shrinkwrapped or shrink wrapped, that is the question.
Holder would have made sure he had enough guns!
It took the Federal Governement and all its resources to manufacture a poor excuse for a Birth Certificate. This notebook couldn’t have been created in less than a week!

I don’t know to tell you the truth. The guy was/is a nutball supreme evidenced by his actions. My guess is that his orals didn’t go well at the end of the year critique of his graduate work. I don’t know what kind of drugs/pills he may have been taking, nor do I know whether or not he is just crazy crazy or driven that way because of stress, uncertainty, etc..
One thing sticks in my mind - his mother when called telling whoever was on the line “you have the right person.” (or words to that effect). This tells me the parents were aware of what a nutcase this son might be.
That’s a standard drum clip not a high capacity, one good roll and it would be empty.
:: his mother when called telling whoever was on the line you have the right person. ::
You need to get caught up, Gaffer. Mom debunked this to the media.
The whole blood trail in front of his car intrigues me. If he came in THAT exit door,,wouldn’t people be exiting out the otherside or the main hall down the back of the theater? I thought I read police found him in his car. Is it possible he was sitting in his car while bloody people were walking past him? Why would they walk past this heavily armed person who just tried to kill them? That part doesn’t make sense
I’ve fired an AK-47 with a 100 rd drum mag, and it clocked in easily over 40 lb. Then again, that’s a much larger round than the .223 and the drum itself was made with stamped steel as opposed to aluminum.
You ever fired a 12 ga. shotgun with a pistol grip with one hand? I have. I left the range with an imprint of the heat shield on my forehead, a broken nose, and a sprained wrist. That was after firing just one sabot shell. I didn’t drop the shotgun, so it might be possible, but it’s far from practical.
Again, going back to practicality. Regardless of weight, which I admit I may have overestimated, it cannot be practical to commit this sort of atrocity with the armament as described by the MSM.
