Hell, I didn’t know she was a lesbian.
Didn’t matter enough for me to care apparently.
I had no idea and I could care less. What possible significance does this have to anything?
I think the majority of Americans are tired of the hype and the derision. No body cares anymore, they just don’t like it thrown in their faces time and time again.
Who knew it was that easy...?
I wasn’t inclined to make a big deal out of Ride’s sexual orientation. It’s none of my business. Damn it, if others are going to make hay of it, then it should be okay if I address it too.
Evidently Ride wasn’t the first woman in space. She may or may not have been the first homosexual in space, I don’t know about that.
So who was the first woman in space, since they can’t resist claiming she was not one of the vast majority of women.
They are proud first about her being a homosexual. Why should I argue with that? She wasn’t a woman. She was a homosexual. Let them have it their way.
You peel back all this women’s lib stuff and it’s basically women that hate men (and themselves).
She was private about her private life. I wish the rest were too. Leave her memory in peace.
Who cares she never stuck it in anyones face she was very accomplished and did good even if she did go global warming and stuff She was no Tom Sellack loving Judith Resnick God rest her soul
I personally could care less. But she was married to a fellow astronaut for five years, what was that all about ?
As far as the people making a big deal out of it, though, you really can only feel sorry for people who define their entire existence by what they do with the thing between their legs.
I did not know he was lesbian. I guess she was pretty secretive about it. I applaud her accomplishments, in any event.
All liberals are interested in is gays. I’m beginning to think that those liberals who say they are straight....aren’t.
Turn ons for libs, sex, gay sex, transgender sex, lesbians, bi-sexual sex, condoms, contraception, abortion.
They can’t accept the fact that maybe just being a human being is enough. They have to stick their noses in your sexlife to make themselves happy.
Explains why she died so early at 61.
The life expectancy for women in the US is 78. Even longer for folks who are in the physical condition that astronauts maintain.
The fact most of the public didn’t know makes it fairly obvious she kept her life a private matter. I care very little about how people live their private lives so long as they’re not victimizing others or slamming it in my face.
Who?
She’s not around to refute anything said about her.
She never had a Prople Magazine coming out that I recall, so I admire her accomplishments even more as she apparently wanted her legacy to be one of science not sexuality. RIP.
THE_WRONG_STUFF_PING!
Doesn’t matter. I’ve always admired her. Got me introduced to “Mustang Sally”
