'I'm not protecting anyone that made my life a living hell': Teen faces jail time after lashing out on Twitter and naming the boys who sexually assaulted her.
17-year-old sexual assault victim is facing a jail sentence for tweeting the names of her attackers in anger at their light punishment.
Savannah Dietrich named and shamed the boys on the social messaging site, writing: 'There you go, lock me up. I'm not protecting anyone that made my life a living Hell.'
The Louisville, Kentucky teen told The Courier-Journal she was frustrated by what she feels is a lenient deal for her attackers.

What an absolutely weird post and line of thought. That’s not the scenario at all.
Also, she’s a juvenile.
In a civilized country the scum that rapes a passed out woman would be flogged and branded for their mis-deeds.
There should be no plea bargains on crimes like this.
I think the question is the age of the perps. They were juveniles at the time and you know how that goes.
Can't tell the world about little Johnny because he'll grow out of it and become..president some day.
What the Hell are you doing on Free Republic? You are obviously hanging out on the wrong web site. That, or you need to really re-think this situation.
[ She probably forgot to use the word, alleged. ]
It’s not “alleged. “. The boys pleaded guilty.
Sorry, but if she was instructed not to make comment, she should have abided by that. Otherwise, put yourself in their shoes.
**************
When did it become a crime to accuse somebody of a crime? The remedy for the accused is to sue for libel, not to get a judge to bar the raped her 1st Amendment rights. The judge had no business issuing a gag order on her.

Let’s say some psycho chick accuses you of something you didn’t do, just to be vindictive.
She goes public with accusations that you did this, that, and the other thing to her, even though you didn’t. But, you’ve already been tried and convicted in the public’s mind. You could go to prison for a long time, even though you’re innocent, and I’ll it’s happened plenty of times. Every now and then, you’ll hear of a man who has spent decades in prison, and then the accuser gets a case of remorse, and retracts..........
Unfortunately there are MANY people in jail based only on “he said, she said” testimony. In particular, the people who cannot afford a real (good) attorney but a provided a “public defender”. Those unfortunates get little to NO defense and wind up doing time for something they a totally innocent of. I am aware of more than one case of such injustice.

If you plead guilty, do you get a trial, too?
The idiots would probably charge her as an adult, because “she should have known better.” Ah, the irony.
You would let your dautgher go to a party where there is drinking, sex, and who knows what else?
Let her go and drink until she passes out and loses control over her own person in that kind of enviroment? Seesh.
bump
Because a girl that drinks too much or acts stupidly needs to be raped? Have you heard of morals?
You have a serious disconnect with reality.
When I was a lad, I took a very attractive, very drunk girl home to her parents (no I didn't get her drunk) and I took pains to let her know later that no one touched her. I know for a fact that she got in a world of trouble, but she certainly didn't deserve to be raped.
"She goes public with accusations that you did this, that, and the other thing to her, even though you didnt. But, youve already been tried and convicted in the publics mind."
You left the part out of your analogy where you pleaded guilty in court and photos of you assaulting her were discovered.
I was making an observation about your fathering, nothing about the girl.
I made my comments on the girl on another thread.
You, sir, are a gentleman. They are in short supply these days.
Fathers need to give their daughters "the talk" about how to drink (if to drink at all) responsibly in public, and how to exercise discernment about good vs. bad companions, and how to protect themselves.
That could get interesting!
