Trying to do some damage control after President Dan Cathy said marriage equality activists are "inviting God's judgment on our nation," Chick-fil-A today posted the above Facebook message saying the "independent" franchises treat all customers with "honor, dignity and respect regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."
Damage Control?
What Mr. Cathy said is not damage control. This headline is simply a leftist attack trying to make trouble.
If the queers want to boycott Chick-Fila-A, then fine.
Well, I’m a little disappointed with this. If this is what you believe, and I sure Dan does, then stick by your guns.
The GLBT crowd doesn’t back down on their opinions, why should Dan or Chick-fil-A??
Agreed. I actually think they should not have even posted this disclaimer on their FB page, though, as it makes them look weak. Back pedaling is not as good as taking a firm stand. The opening paragraph wimps out the company President’s assertion ...
I am disappointed, too: A firm stand is what is needed. NOT, “let the company president stick to his biblical guns, but the franchises can be part of the whole PC thing.” The opening paragraph pretty much waters down Dan Cathy’s remarks, making him seem out of touch with his own company. Very poor.
Rand Paul and Barry Goldwater were correct about the Civil Rights Act. It should have been narrowly limited to prohibiting government-sanctioned discrimination. Depriving a private entity of the liberty to conduct business as it sees fit was a massive overreach. We now have an alphabet soup collection of agencies imposing burdensome regulations on the once free market, among the worst being the EEOC. And how many neighborhoods have been ruined by the so-called "Fair" Housing Act (Title VIII)?
“The GLBT crowd doesnt back down on their opinions, why should Dan or Chick-fil-A??”
Exactly. Why does our side always act like we are out-numbered or something? Gays are less than 2 % of the population, and they never, ever back down or issue disclaimers.
I still love their food. If the gays want to boycott, it just means a shorter line for us.
All sins, that are becoming the norm, are enacting God’s wrath on this country.
If they banned gays from their restaurants they would get sued out of existence. Let the gays ban themselves by boycotting... then everyone’s happy.
The queers, despite all the “jamming” they do to try to make it seem like they’re 25% of the population,
are really only in the 1% range.
A “buycott” would overwhelm them.
The entire thing is stupid. Just eat your damn sandwich and shut up. Remember we demand actors and actresses to shut up and sing or act. I feel the same way with businesses. Just shut up and cook or sell things. Yes they are on our side but really I don’t want to get my values from a fast food eatery. Seriously folks this is just insane.
They have for more than a year... didn't make even the slightest dent in Chick-Fil-A's customer base. If anything, it's a more family-friendly place.
If you read the post, that is pretty much what they are saying. They will treat people as people. However, they are not going to go out and promote the GLBT agenda as was demanded. (I think it came from outsiders trying to force some “rainbow” product on them.)
“Rand Paul and Barry Goldwater were correct about the Civil Rights Act.”
In the past I would not have agreed with that, but at this juncture, in our politically correct era, I do.
This isn’t damage control - it’s clarification to prevent totalitarianism through generalization.
Gays - and all liberals - trash the hell out of the entirety of anyone who disagrees with any aspect of their agenda. They demand absolute obediance, and serve total destruction for the slightest deviation. This notice fights that. It simply says, “hey, we’re against gat marriage, That doesn’t mean we’re going to treat any customer with any discrimination, so don’t generalize us.”
Not, of course, that it will effect gays, who largely kneejerk their way through life along the liberal circuit anyway. But it should make others think.
Should. Hah.
Aren’t all Chick-fil-A also closed on Sundays to honor the Christian Sabbath? Those religious cooks.

However, they are not going to go out and promote the GLBT agenda as was demanded.
Good. Quite frankly selling chicken sandwiches really should be their priority. I love their food but I love other places too that you don’t hear a peep from like Burger King....I love that place even better than the rest and you don’t hear a political word out of their mouth at all. Now that is what I call quality.
