My heart is feeling pride, excitement, and some trepidation, since today my beautiful 18-year-old son enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Oorah! I’m a Marine Mom, and there are bumper stickers all over my car to prove it.

I know the feeling, 21 years ago my oldest decided the same thing.
It's a hard thing for a mother (father), who've spent most of their child's life trying to keep them from getting hurt, to know there is nothing we can do as they begin.
