Still hot and humid on your end, I see; still high 70's out here, quite bareable to work in.

Nothing much to report, the summer is blazing by and the kids will be back to school in September.

Well, I'm getting ready to take Bo out to the vet for his monthly does of flea spray.

Yesterday, my primary computer (Windows XP 2006 computer) went BSOD on me and I had to reboot it with Windows running. I ended up running chkdisk on it.

This is the first time in awhile this has happened. I think the last time I had an improper shutdown was when I unintentionally ran a virus scan with McCafee and when I tried to stop it the computer froze on me.

Like I said this is a six year old computer so....

We're forecast to hit 100 today in much of Oklahoma. Gonna use the sunscreen for my visits to the lake with Bo.

70s? I’m jealous! I’m sure it’s the perfect weather to work outside in. Although after the storms move past this evening we’ll be back to some bearable temps.

I agree...the summer is flying by...we’re already in the middle of July...both my boys will be having a birthday next week. Got to get cards in the mail and pick up gifts this weekend.

Good news...I found a check from the IRS in the mailbox yesterday. Seems we over-paid our 2011 estimated taxes. Get this, they fined us for over-paying. But we did get interest on it. Anyway it’ll come in handy in Sept. when we have to pay the next 2012 estimated taxes.
Still have to thank GOD for that unexpected windfall.

My heart is feeling pride, excitement, and some trepidation, since today my beautiful 18-year-old son enlisted in the US Marine Corps

I know the feeling, 21 years ago my oldest decided the same thing.
It's a hard thing for a mother (father), who've spent most of their child's life trying to keep them from getting hurt, to know there is nothing we can do as they begin.
