Issue for issue obama and Romney agree on. What makes obama bad and Romney good? obama has a D. Romney has an R.

I’m not voting for Sarah- she’s not on the ballot.

My vote will be cast for Romney. I won’t like doing it, I won’t do it with any conviction or excitement. I don’t even like Mitt Romney, I don’t have much faith in his ability to understand the principles of liberty or even care about them.

One thing I DO know. A vote for anyone but Romney, no matter how moral and self-righteous be the choice, is a vote for the end of the republic. This isn’t a game- though it looks like one around here lately.

I didn’t get my way in the primaries this year, nor in 2007. I was really disappointed with the candidate we had. I feel the same way this time. I whined for a bit, even wallowed. I am looking now at the reality, not at what I WISH had happened.

I am clearly in the minority here at FR and that’s ok.

I won't be writing in Sarah Palin's name on my presidential ballot. Had she run, she would have instantly had the votes of everyone in my family ...but she did not, much to our collective disappointment. So be it. We live on Planet Reality and despite the frenzy of hatred directed toward RINO Romney on FR, I intend to vote for him as a way to get rid of Obama while we still can, before the police state develops, which I believe it will if Barry is given another four years as president. Like many FReepers, I can find much to dislike and distrust about Mitt Romney but the torrent of conspiracy nonsense and flat-out mindless vitriol directed at the man seems way over the top and smacks of DU trolls having some fun sowing division in the conservative ranks. The only problem with that suspicion is that many of the FR posters screaming hatred at Romney and smearing anyone who doesn't join them is that many of these posters are not newly registered.

That is somewhat depressing because it demonstrates that instead of facing reality and at least voting for the candidate that isn't Obama, some conservatives consider it highly principled to refuse to vote for Romney and so, when votes are counted and the write-in's discarded or not counted, those write-in votes, no matter the name listed, will give the Obama votes more weight. Fortunately, I believe the election will be a blow-out for Romney simply because Americans are disappointed, frightened and angry at what has happened in the past four years and are in no mood for more of the once 'historic' Barack Obama. Still, it is disconcerting to see so many conservatives so eager to bash not only Mitt Romney but any other FReeper that isn't on the hate-Romney train with them. I would be deeply disappointed if that is what FR has devolved into but I don't believe this kind of intramural warfare is sustainable and will flame out, in time, preferably by election day.

That said, I do not like Romney at all. I hate Barack Obama! Who do I think will destroy this country quicker in the next 4 years. That’s a no brainer! How much more informed do you need to be than that?

Writing in Palin will not get Palin as President no matter how you slice it! It will slice any chance of kicking the usurper out. That is all I need to know at this point in time. Then tie Romney’s hands with a Conservative House and Senate. Best we can hope for!

I doubt yours is the minority opinion, SE Mom. Like most small groups who know they’re in the wrong and don’t want it to be exposed, the Let obama slide back in crowd has to use volume to make up for lack of common sense, and lies and distortions to avoid the facts. Neither tactic puts them in the majority, they’re just like the cancerous growth that you can’t take your eyes off of, even if it is just a small portion of the body overall.

Maybe because Newt and Santorum were actually competing with him for the nomination. Sarah did not run. She chose to sit it out and make money as a talking head or reality TV star. I personally think that the "kissing up to the owner" factor is in play here. I've been with this site since the beginning and I pay my $30 a month so while I respect the position of the owner and appreciate the "truce" (however precarious) he called for those who choose to vote for Romney anyhow, I have no problem voicing my own opinion and feel no need to suck up.

My feeling is that despite the vitriol spewed by many here, most of us will realize on November 5th that we really have no choice but to cancel out a vote for Obama. And you can really only do that by voting for the one man who has a chance to beat him.

So while many here vow to vote conservative down-ticket while leaving the presidential race blank (or voting for somebody else), I think that once that curtain closes behind them, they will flip that top lever for Romney after all. They will never admit it here but that's okay. The end result is that Obama will lose in a landslide.

I don't like Romney. I didn't like McCain and wasn't too crazy about the Bushes either. But with the exception of 1992 (when I voted Ross Perot), I voted the GOP nominee every time. Now some will argue that this behavior will only encourage the GOP to continue nominating RINOs but I don't see how that is the case because I always voted the most conservative candidate in the primaries. If enough of us united behind a conservative in the primaries instead of destroying all the conservatives in a circular firing squad, we would have a real conservative as the nominee.

Once November comes around however, it's too late. Unless there is a viable third party candidate alternative, conservatives only really have one choice come November. Sitting it out will only increase the power of their opposition and make it even more difficult to make conservative inroads.

Hysterical stuff. Sarah was my candidate but she certainly would not accept the VP slot after turning down a chance for the top job no matter what the fools believe.

Sarah says she will work for and vote for Mitt. Just listen to her instead of the voices in your head.

I believe this next election will decide that. Maybe I’m wrong. Idk. But if Obama wins it could be curtains for this country and a collaspse will be needed. If Romney wins, we could have time to elect conservative people to Congress and local positions and turn the tide.

If we need to elect Supreme Court judges in the next presidential term and Obama gets to elect them our country will not recover.

My choices are write someone in, vote for Goode, or leave it blank. Leaving it blank leaves too much room for mischief. Goode, while he is an alternative, has some issues of his own. That leaves me the option of choosing someone to write in. I (alone) find it morally wrong to vote for either of the candidates. I stated this during the primaries, as did others.

Even you state it is a matter of “Who do I think will destroy this country quicker...” in your comments. I find it morally reprehensible to vote for either destroyer. For the argument that we should vote Romney and Conservatives to stop him, I say this: When has the GOP ever shown proclivity to stop someone of their own party who is obviously wrong? Their self-interest might cause them to oppose Obama, but certainly will not stifle their support of Romney’s agenda.

I am voting 100% across the board GOP for Congress, and writing in Palin/Gingrich

Be sure it doesn't invalidate your ballot in so doing. I've read that in some localities it's a possibility and some liberal election judge might just jump at the chance.

My vote for President will be for a candidate on ballot but will not be for Romney. Statism is statism regardless of whether it wears red or blue.
