If Newsweek can dub President Barack Hussein Obama, as it did on a recent cover, “the first gay president” because of his affinity for gays and their agenda, he deserves even more the mantle of “the first Muslim president” for the same reason.
Obama has spent the better part of the last week mercilessly attacking Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney over his ties to the investment firm Bain Capital, which Obama and his enablers in the mainstream media claim helped export American jobs overseas. Coupled with this is an even more despicable campaign to discredit Romney’s Mormon religious faith, with the New York Times and other leftist publications painting Mormonism as the equivalent of Tom Cruise’s Church of Scientology. Indeed, Obama – who is the master of lies, whether it is over his birth certificate or just writing about his white college girlfriends in his fraudulent book “Dreams of My Father” – has his socialist smear machine in full battle mode, so desperate he and his comrades are to retain the White House.
This vicious attack on Romney is not simply a matter of deflecting attention away from the poor state of the economy, as most establishment pundits have said, but also to serve as a buffer over what should be the national focus during this election season. The simple and hard fact, as even semi-conscious Americans have come to realize, is that Obama’s actions and loyalties suggest much more affinity for Islam than Christianity. As the old adage goes, “If it walks like a duck and quacks liked a duck, it is a duck!”

Klayman’s column is a bit self-serving but makes the oft-stated point that, by his words and actions, our president - if not a practicing Muslim - at the very least, harbors deep sympathy for Muslims and Muslim nations that wish us harm. This is scary stuff and Klayman is correct that the GOP won’t touch it. Obama must be defeated and those who endlessly carp about Romney because he isn’t a conservative - a contention that no one on FR disagrees with - are just demoralizing those conservatives that may not be at all impressed with Mitt Romney but realize that the only choice we have is Romney or Obama and frankly, Romney, while not a conservative, looks like one compared to Obama. Bashing Romney non-stop on FR accomplishes nothing.

Stating reality and finding that non-stop bashing of the only guy we have in the race with any hope of defeating the Kenyan Marxist is now characterized as being a 'Romney Troll? I know it's tempting to play tough guy on the internet and swing a mean keyboard but when it gets to the point where, after a dozen years as a FReeper and over 6,000 posts I'm called insulting names by those who are determined to hate Mitt Romney even if it keeps Obama in office, something has clearly gone wrong with Free Republic.
In effect, as conservatives, we're allowing ourselves to be voluntarily balkanized and thus, weakened, which is foolish. Our nation is in dire peril. Obama must be defeated. Granted, Romney is a weak reed to pin our hopes on but at the moment, he's all we have. Hate him all you want, vote for some no-chance candidate as your private 'protest' but please don't use juvenile name-calling tactics to insult those long-time FReepers who simply want to see Obama soundly defeated on November 6th.
