George Zimmerman’s defense attorney filed a motion Friday asking that the judge on his case be disqualified.
Claiming the judge has shown bias and made disparaging remarks about Zimmerman, attorney Mark O’Mara said he “no longer has faith” in Seminole County Circuit Judge Kenneth R. Lester.

Mark Mejame is a loose cannon on television, never know what he is going to say or when. He would have been advising his wife, possibly for the prosecution.
I think it was clearly the right call. Now we need to get rid of this judge, and yes it`s a crap shoot who we get next
Since it was Nejame who recommended O'Mara in the first place, and they are friends, one would think that having the wife of a Nejame law partner as a judge would be a plus for O'Mara. She would have favored O'Mara.
So why did he use one of his few dismissal requests for her rather than make the prosecution use one of theirs, or let her do it on her own.
If there was conflict of interest because Nejame was going to be the CNN commenter on the case, pressure could just as easily have been brought against CNN to find someone else other than Nejame. It's easier to replace him than it is to replace a judge.
It just seems odd and counter-intuitive in retrospect that this was done and the reasons given for it being done.
I thought that GZ was talking to a dispatcher, not a 911-op.

Even though he sat there and watched as O’Mara handed over GZ’s medical records to Gilbreath and the prosecution right there in front of him, he says this:
“The Defendant certainly indicated through cross-examination that he acted in self defense, but he put forward no evidence of such.”
Well, your honor, just what were those medical records showing my client got his head bashed in indications of???? Weren’t they evidence of self defense??? Did I have to spell it out for you???
But worst of all is that Judge Lester knew full well that the prosecution was withholding all the cards. He knew and has known all along that the prosecution had in their grubby little hands all the evidence at that hearing date and that in there was evidence that might very well have exonerated Zimmerman.
He knew that the defense did not have access to that exculpatory evidence until the state would begin releasing in mid-May — too late for that initial April 20th hearing. And yet he writes this sentence in his Order Setting Bail as justification for his ignoring the evidence that was subsequently presented on June 29th.
Judge Lester is not just biased but he’s downright dishonest and his dishonesty has affected the integrity of the court. It is not Zimmerman who has flouted and manipulated the system, but Judge Lester. It is not Zimmerman who has credibility problems, but Judge Lester.
Lester should not only step down from this case but he should also step down from the bench.
Claiming? The judge’s bias is in a black and white legal document. The whole lying thing is utter b/s. Kinda makes you wonder if the judge was trying to make this happen.
I wonder about that. I have talked to a several different people who were outraged to find out that the pictures the LSM were showing were many years outdated.
Lots of other people just want this to go away, they are tired of hearing it.
Remember a few weeks ago when the article came out about Lester’s son going to the same junior high with Shellie Zimmerman? People were asking then if Lester would recuse himself. Then came the second bond hearing and the decision... makes ya go hmmmmmm.
Jessica Reckseidler had 3 small children and the Klan with a Tan was running rampant and TrayMom and TrayDad were on tour.
So O'Mara then uses up one of Zimmerman's few judge dismissal cards in order to protect the wife of Nejame's partner from possible black mob threats of violence so that Nejame can freely attack Zimmerman on CNN.
If she or her husband felt fear for her life or the lives of their children from threats of the tan klan, then that is a good thing for her and them to feel. Because then she and they would know the fear that Zimmerman felt from that mobster that assaulted him that night. O'Mara should never have given her and Nejame an out.
He will not get any other judge who does not already know his history of being dishonest with the court. Won’t help him.
MAkes sense... we had the same types in the Army who had to wake up the JAG officer before giving the ok to shoot... ridiculous.

My bad, I stand corrected. However I still believe this guy Mark Nejame is a loose cannon,watched him on those ridiculous CNNHN and True TV after some major trials, was always/mostly at odds with me.
But yes as you say he was not the husband of the judge,also you m,ake some good points
Interesting Reading. The court’s histrionics over the Paypal issue is highly suspect and receiving poor reviews:
Instructions from a 911-op has the authority of police department, a (non-emergency) does not. To ignore or disobey the demands of the 911-op would be a violation of legal authority (illegal). The dispatcher can only recommend and disobeying is not an infraction of law.
