ROMNEY NARROWS VP CHOICES; SURPRISE NAME EMERGES AS FRONTRUNNER
“Jennifer Granholm”
She was born in Canada,, no way
BINGO!!!
I’ve been saying it’s Bob McDonnell for a couple weeks now.
Bob McDonnell would make a fine VP for, say, John McCain, but Romney doesn’t need a governor, and should not pick a Catholic.
Rob Portman is the obvious choice.
Perry needs to stay in Texas. Someone mentioned a Hispanic, and I’d be ready to vote for Ted Cruz, but would rather him take out doo hearst.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, HOST: No — well, that — but on the other hand, Van Jones, maybe he does, and this is picking up on the other points you all were making as to avoid a — any pick that looks transparently political and calculated, that could be his biggest problem.
VAN JONES, FORMER OBAMA ADVISER: I think that’s right. And one thing I think is interesting is, if you want to do something shocking, you want the tea party base excited, nobody has talked about Condoleezza Rice.
But think about this. She checks off a lot of boxes, as far as women, she’s a person of color, if the optics matter. But she’s actually tested. She is actually a national figure. She has foreign policy experience. She was secretary of state. And she’s sitting there.
Now people say, you know, you want to do something bold, put Condoleezza Rice on the ticket and watch the Obama campaign go crazy.
ANN COULTER: Not a chance. Too much like a Sarah Palin. It will not be a woman.
ABC’s This Week Sunday April 01, 2012
He's the Governor, he doesn't need two. Governor-Congresscritter has been the modern rule: Senator-Senator, Governor-Representative, Governor-Senator, Congresscritter-Senator, Governor-Congresscritter.
Lol!
No way, trust me.
She’s not going to run for elected office, period.
Definitely could be in line for an appointed position though.
This is just the campaign throwing it out there, to see the general reaction, for internal reasons.
NO WAY! She doesn’t want any part of it! It would look like he picked her just to get a twofer. Not happening.
And the Chinese nominate... THE WU TANG CLAN!!!!

I don’t think her inexperience would hurt her performance- she is a very smart lady, and pretty darn conservative. But it is true that the Obama campaign might be able to score points by highligting her relative inexperience.
"Florida Sen.-elect Marco Rubio announced his top staff, which included three former Romney campaign hands. Sally Canfield, who served as Romney's policy adviser, will be Rubio's legislative director and chief policy adviser; Joe Pounder, who was in charge of rapid response for Romney, will be Rubio's communications director; and Alex Burgos, who directed specialty media for Romney, will serve as director of media affairs for Rubio." -- RCP/Time, Jan. 4, 2011"
It is true that it rarely has been Governor-Governor, but this time I think it will be.
Just like Bush and “can’t we all get along”...he’ll nominate Condi Rice, as he tells the conservatives “screw you!”
As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.
What’s wrong with a Catholic VP?
Portman is fine, BUT, he’s got the Bush stain on him.
So you find joy in having a pro-abortion Obama voter being floated as the Republican vice-presidential nominee.

One would think that someone with a "Scott Walker is my President" tagline would have had a "happy political moment" just last month. Unless you are a troll.
Faucetman, you have to be joking. Relative inexperience? This “smart lady” as you say, can bury Obama with intellect, savvy, experience, diplomacy, and most importantly, patriotism, before breakfast.
Make no mistake. She would make a fabulous president, not just a vice president, but elective office is not her 10, and so she has declared.
Personally, I’d love to see her as a running mate, but I don’t think she will.
Prediction: He loses by a minimim of 3 points if he picks Condi.
