PORTLAND Court documents obtained by KGW Tuesday outline details of the kidnapping, stabbing and strangling of a 10-year-old boy in a restaurants restroom.
According to the affidavit, the victim's family was on the way home from from a camping trip and got a flat tire, which was why they stopped. They initially parked at the Les Schwab next door to the Wendy's, but the store wasn't open. Then, they boy walked over to the Wendy's on Northeast Sandy Blvd. to go to the restroom, while an older cousin waited outside.
Charges filed into court allege Adam Brown, 49, trapped the boy in the restroom and stabbed him in the neck, hands, and legs while trying to sexually assault him.
The affidavit described how the boy went to the restroom and Brown locked the door. Then, it said that Brown ordered the boy to take his clothes off at knifepoint. The boy screamed and fought back and was able to eventually get out after he had been stabbed at least six times, the court document said.
Patrons pushed against the bathroom door, trapping Brown inside until police arrived and evacuated the restaurant.
Brown, already a paroled sex offender, threatened he had a gun. leading to a standoff with police. Documents said Brown asked to call his parents because he "was going to prison ... because I hurt the kid."
He surrendered about two hours later.
Two fires had also been set in the restroom, documents showed.
In all, Brown faces attempted aggravated murder, six counts of assault, attempted sex abuse, kidnapping, strangulation and reckless burning.
The boy had to have emergency surgery after the terrifying attack and is now recovering at home, family members said.

Parents divorced before he was three... that right there is a known risk factor - absent or remote father.
This guy should be set on fire and dropped into a vat of acid. Anything left after that should be ground into dust and thrown in a dung heap.
he came home very disallusioned about the business....he was a family man and something didn't sit right with him...I suspected after the fact that there was drugs, drinking and perversion...
in the past, a mom would always go with her little girl into the ladies room, but send our boys right into the mens room without a thought...
but they are even more vulnerable....
I don't trust humans, period....
see...I just don't have sympathy for these idiots or those like them anymore....
I wonder, just wonder. What are the population/infestation rates of known child molestors and perverts in states/cities/counties predominantly known for being liberal versus, say, in conservative locations?
No cop on earth could keep me from ventilating his brain if that was my kid or grand kid.
This is not my argument, but I just want to point out that the phrase “GaGa” here is referring to Lady GaGa, who is a musical “artist” and is famous for a song called “Born this Way.”
He probably started out “just gay”.....perversion isn’t satisfied by mere repetition of the same old thing. Each act has to be more daring, more fulfilling than the last. Just like drug addition, gambling and thrill-seeking. Human nature, however, these pukes start out with a defective brain that takes the event to the absurd extreme.
The father wasn’t absent, nor was he remote. This kid had one of the largest, most robust families I’ve ever seen.
When I met him, he was three years old. The kid was swishy and talked like a girl. When we were watching football, hed wander into my bedroom and try on my jewelry and stuff, and Id have to drag him out of there.
How many three year old girls have you met that behave “swishy” and talk like homosexual males? Did this boy talk with a lisp? Did his sister talk the same way?
Someone groomed this boy to behave this way.
He might have been referring to the pop tart “Lady Ga-Ga.” She's very involved with pushing the homosexual agenda. Since she's a good little liberal, she also pushes the idea that Christianity is evil and intolerant while Islam is peaceful, loving and inclusive.
Oddly enough, she's not said much about having to cancel a tour in a predominantly moslem country due to death threats.
Ha! Thanks for your input. The comment to my post was, therefore, not as “incoherent” as I, and another, had previously assumed. Nevertheless, it is the intent that matters. I’m amused over the irony. The poster’s comment received its inspiration from the title of a song by a “pop-culture icon”, something by which, he or she erroneously presumed informs mine.
No trouble at all, dear. I just wish I could say that I did not know who Lady GaGa is. :p
Your post indicated that the parents were divorced. A father not living in the home is absent regardless of visitation frequency.
What you saw from the outside is not what the child experiences from the inside. Pop psychology likes to talk about qualitative vs quantitative time, but the sad truth is, quality time requires quantity time. Being there for the critical moments requires that you actually be there because you cannot plan or forecast their time or place of occurrence or frequency.
Parenting is the only job where people aren’t fungible.
This guy should be set on fire and dropped into a vat of acid. Anything left after that should be ground into dust and thrown in a dung heap.
Jesus said something about those who hurt children. What ever the King of kings has planned, they would be better off if they were to have a mill stone tied to their kneck and then be thrown into the sea.
He didn’t say that was their punishment. He said that they would rather have that happen to them.
There was once a Massachusetts Congressman, Gerry Studds, who was exposed after he plied a 17 year old boy with alcohol and molested him. During his next visit to his home district, his constituents gave him a standing ovation.
Excuse me, but you do not know the full story, the actual people involved, or the makeup of this family, and for you to think otherwise, is rather an arrogant assumption, don’t you think? For instance, who had custody of the child? I’m not calling you arrogant, you understand; just your assumption.
Also, I’m not on “the outside”.
Oh, me too, Conservaliberty! Can you imagine sitting in a Philly tavern trying to explain the gaga/gagathon, et al, phenomenon in this country, to Ben Franklin, John Adams, Tom Jeff, and George Washington? They might’ve picked up their papers and gone home. :-(
Yes, thanks for your input. See my post #93.
Oh, really? That’s rich that the gaga-gagathon kissed Islam’s ugly a_s, and its ugly head reared back and bit her ugly rump. Too bad they can’t swallow each other whole and then, POOF! — what a wonderful world this could be. :-)
