PORTLAND – Court documents obtained by KGW Tuesday outline details of the kidnapping, stabbing and strangling of a 10-year-old boy in a restaurant’s restroom.
According to the affidavit, the victim's family was on the way home from from a camping trip and got a flat tire, which was why they stopped. They initially parked at the Les Schwab next door to the Wendy's, but the store wasn't open. Then, they boy walked over to the Wendy's on Northeast Sandy Blvd. to go to the restroom, while an older cousin waited outside.
Charges filed into court allege Adam Brown, 49, trapped the boy in the restroom and stabbed him in the neck, hands, and legs while trying to sexually assault him.
The affidavit described how the boy went to the restroom and Brown locked the door. Then, it said that Brown ordered the boy to take his clothes off at knifepoint. The boy screamed and fought back and was able to eventually get out after he had been stabbed at least six times, the court document said.
Patrons pushed against the bathroom door, trapping Brown inside until police arrived and evacuated the restaurant.
Brown, already a paroled sex offender, threatened he had a gun. leading to a standoff with police. Documents said Brown asked to call his parents because he "was going to prison ... because I hurt the kid."
He surrendered about two hours later.
Two fires had also been set in the restroom, documents showed.
In all, Brown faces attempted aggravated murder, six counts of assault, attempted sex abuse, kidnapping, strangulation and reckless burning.
The boy had to have emergency surgery after the terrifying attack and is now recovering at home, family members said.

You might want to get in touch with the authorities on that one. Never assume that they're putting two and two together.
People in OR are among the most tolerant of homosexuality in the nation, esp. Portland.

Over generalization. I know 3 gay men(one neighbor growing up, one college dormmate and one guy I work out with-his dad is a pastor btw) and non were abused by their dad's(or other men)/and their parents were not distant or brutal to them.
As faucetman pointed out black men should have a very high rate of homosexuality but they don't.
Part of the situation of developing a gay is the temptation, and part of it is the person’s reaction to the temptation. Black culture frowns on gaydom, and that matters. A black kid tempted to be gay might refuse to pursue that out of the social pressure, and the tendency would wither on his vine, so to speak. A white liberal kid would be more likely to go ahead and indulge.
This is more than just “gay.” This is out and out wacked crazy.

Thanks... basically the consequences of a dysfunction can be channeled by pressures both inside and out. Black men aren’t super likely to be gay, but they are much more likely to be cruel to their women.
The two systems of thought are, at least in principle, complementary, not contradictory. Theology says that God gives them over to vile affections. Psychology seeks to understand how the vile affections get there.

That young man should have been steered into a masculine, heterosexual path.
He was born a fallen sinner, but born male.
For example,if he’d shown tendencies for animal cruelty, his parents would have intervened, as they should have.
They should have intervened in this case, as well.
When you get a chance, ask them who hurt them as kids.
