Six American troops have been killed in a roadside bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan, a US official says.

The deaths of American sons and daughters was tallied every day, and questions about the poor leadership at the top were asked.
Imagine if George Bush were presiding over the deaths of soldiers WHILE AT THE SAME TIME his Vice-President was insisting the murderous Taliban, responsible for the soldiers' deaths, was NOT our enemy. Would the networks give a damn?
Let me guess....TomKat’s pending divorce!
I wouldn’t know; I was watching Scott Walker taking Howard Dean apart on CNBC this morning.
Where the heck is Cindy Sheehan??? Why isn’t she camping out at the White House??!!
Prayers for the families of our fallen.
She’s still out there. A FB friend is friends with her. She’s just as loud. The media just ignores her now. When she took on the Democrats, the media dropped her.
Add one more.
Seven US soldiers killed in spate of killings in Afghanistan
International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) spokesperson Brigadier General Günter Katz confirms that seven US soldiers were among 35 people killed in a string of roadside bombs and clashes in southern Afghanistan.
Video news conference
Everyday, every death was a drumbeat against the evil Bush.
I know republican folks who were so war disheartened they voted for O, because they felt we had to “stop this terrible war”.
Now the media can’t even cover it.
...the MSM usually reports “NATO” troops, they don’t clarify and get specific anymore and claim notification delay’s. even though other news groups report specific details. The media in this country was told by this administration “don’t expect info” until we tell you what to write.
If George Bush were STILL President, college and university campuses would be erupting all over the country. Student groups and their “professors” would be protesting, marching, beating drums, burning flags, and “possibly” showing compassion for fallen Americans.
Of course, each and every media outlet would be highlighting each and every fallen American, featuring video of mourning home towns, friends and grieving families.
Whoever it is who “reads” the news would solemnly intone that famous line , “THIS WAR IS LOST!”
Of course, now we have Obama, so what the hell?

The Media, the Terrys, and Cindy Sheehan

We keep saying this, but you simply cannot make it up.
Last night Sean Hannity sat down for an interview with Kent and Josephine Terry, the parents of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Brian Terry, of course, was killed by a gun deliberately “walked” into Mexico in the harebrained scheme called “Fast and Furious.”
Fast and Furious has now become a bridge too far for the Obama administration. Attorney General Eric Holder has been cited for contempt of Congress by a House committee (a full House vote set for next week) and President Obama just ignited an uproar by throwing a blanket of executive privilege over the Justice Department.
But something else occurred as we watched the riveting Hannity interview with the Terrys last night.
The Terrys lost their son because of a government policy.
So too did another parent lose a son because of a government policy.
That parent was the mother of a U.S. Soldier killed in the war in Iraq, a constitutionally authorized policy openly arrived at when President Bush asked for and got a congressional resolution allowing him to send troops to Iraq.
That soldier was named Casey Sheehan. And his mother’s name was Cindy. Cindy Sheehan.
Cindy Sheehan, like the Terrys, was understandably devastated by the loss of her son. But there were two not-so-small differences in the Sheehan case and the Terry case.
First, unlike Fast and Furious and the secrecy surrounding Brian Terry’s death, there was nothing remotely secret about the military action that took Casey Sheehan’s life. The Iraq War was endlessly litigated — quite publicly — in the Congress and the court of public opinion. It was a major issue in George Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign, in which Bush defeated John Kerry. And it was a major issue in 2008, when then-Senator Barack Obama made it a major issue against John McCain — and won.
Fast and Furious, on the contrary, was conceived in secret, executed in secret, and is now at the center of a Congressional effort to reveal just who knew what and when.
But there is a second difference between Cindy Sheehan and the Terrys.
When Cindy Sheehan spoke out about the death of her son Casey she was inundated — and I do mean inundated — with coverage from the mainstream media....

Three British soldiers killed by Afghan policeman after argument
Three British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan by a local policeman following an argument, the Ministry of Defence has said.
I don’t get my news from networks or old media, so I don’t care about what they cover.
I get my news from FR.
War?......there’s war going on?.....Not if you watch the ABCNNBCBS news exclusively..........................
Say a prayer for my son-in-law. He was and still is there. He let us know Friday they were going out and the intel didn’t look good. He said this morning that the guy next to him had his legs blown off. They’re pretty much moving targets over there with no back up.
