On Friday, Fox News Channels hosts of The Five weighed in on comments made by actor Morgan Freeman who said that President Barack Obama cannot be considered Americas first black president because he is half-white. In a rare moment of agreement between co-hosts Bob Beckel and Greg Gutfeld, Beckel said that he thought Freemans comments were unhelpful and Gutfeld agreed that they were race-baiting.
After playing a clip of Freeman making those comments on National Public Radio, Beckel said thats true.
Im not allowed to call him mulatto, right, Beckel asked to which The Five hosts responded that he could not in near unison.
My question is, now that Morgan Freeman says he is not, does that mean the 87 percent support amongst the black community erodes, asked Bolling.
Why are we even doing this, asked Kimberly Guilfoyle. Its ridiculous and its demeaning. I find this to not be helpful. I dont know why Morgan Freeman is doing this because he is being racially divisive.
This is race-baiting. I dont like it at all. Guilfoyle said that she encounters racial parsing herself as a person of Puerto Rican and Irish heritage.

Senior” very definitely looks African. Obama, of course, does not look the least like him. Rather he resembles his white Grandfather.
He has an African grandfather which makes him:
1/2 Caucasian
3/8 Arab
1/8 African

Most boring show in the world.
Why does this a$$ garner attention or even have a job. After he woody allened his grand daughter one would think he would slink into the shadows.
Freeman has had some pretty interesting things to say in the past:
I think you are correct. He is giving blacks a reason to bail.
You might be right - or he's setting the stage for a new expanded guilt trip on white American that they have yet to elect a black President.
Morgan Freeman shows himself to be just another stupid racist. If America is so oppressive there is always that black run paradise known as Africa with 25 countries to choose from. I’m done with this idiot but have been avoiding his movies for years. His presence is a turn off. Last movie I saw with him was that cold fusion movie with Keeanu Reeves.....prolly 12 years ago
Exactly half-and-half. A very attractive individual, with a personality to match. Then again, I've always thought mulattoes get the best of both types.
He knows Obama sucks. The latin vote has surpassed the black vote anyway. He is just making an excuse for a racist vote in the first place.
LOVE those high heels of hers;)
Yes, yes, YES!!! He really has no ties whatsoever to the American black experience...his ancestors lived on the other side of Africa, something like 3,000 miles from where American blacks originated. (Unless, of course, his father is actually Frank Marshall Davis;)
What is "racial parsing"? Is that when people can't figure out your heritage by name or looks, and start asking you Twenty Questions so they can find an appropriate pigeonhole for you?
I am so disappointed in Morgan Freeman. He's one black actor that seemed to actually have some horse sense. Apparently, he was just acting.
Naw, I don’t watch anymore.
Beck could be quite the kook and I sometimes took him with a grain of salt, but he was INVALUABLE in teaching me George Soros’s tentacular reach, the Center for American Progress, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, several of Obamas extreme communist czars, the TIDES foundation, ACORN, Jekyl Island.
The first I learned of any of these and much more, was on his show. He really did give a first class education digging into Obama’s sphere of influence and Soros’s top-down organizations.
Very valuable.
Yeah, what you said. Unfortunately.
Yep - even though Morgan is a race-baiting Obama's a$$-loving Lefty; they won't hesitate to eat him alive for speaking a little bit of truth that the guy's ethnicity is "polluted" (from which half is dependent on the beholder).
You are exactly right. Blacks went through the same exercise during the Democrat primaries when it seemed Hillary was the winner.
I work with a black guy with whom we can have honest discussions about race, and he tells me that many racial blacks have deep seated inferiority complexes. Since he is gay, that puts him on the outside of that circle, which I guess let’s him be a bit more objective.
