With the Supreme Court giving President Obamas new health care law a green light, federal and state officials are turning to implementation of the law a lengthy and massive undertaking still in its early stages, but already costing money and expanding the government.
The Health and Human Services Department was given a billion dollars implementation money, Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana said. That money is gone already on additional bureaucrats and IT programs, computerization for the implementation.
Oh boy, Stan Dorn of the Urban Institute said. HHS has a huge amount of work to do and the states do, too. There will be new health insurance marketplaces in every state in the country, places you can go online, compare health plans.
The IRS, Health and Human Services and many other agencies will now write thousands of pages of regulations an effort well under way:
Theres already 13,000 pages of regulations, and theyre not even done yet, Rehberg said.
Its a delegation of extensive authority from Congress to the Department of Health and Human Services and a lot of boards and commissions and bureaus throughout the bureaucracy, Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation said. We counted about 180 or so.
There has been much focus on the mandate that all Americans obtain health insurance, but analysts say thats just a small part of the law covering only a few pages out of the laws 2700.
The fact of the matter is the mandate is about two percent of the whole piece of the legislation, Spalding said. Its a minor part.
Much bigger than the mandate itself are the insurance exchanges that will administer $681 billion in subsidies over 10 years, which will require a lot of new federal workers at the IRS and health department.
They are asking for several hundred new employees, Dorn said. You have rules you need to write and you need lawyers, so there are lots of things you need to do when you are standing up a new enterprise.
For some, though, the bottom line is clear and troubling: The federal government is about to assume massive new powers.
Lawyers are the commissars of American Socialism, which has now lasted longer than Soviet Communism.
Congratulations, I guess.
Economies don’t make criminals. Governments do.
Its a war against the middle class who are viewed as the opposition to a perfect socialist society.
Either become a minority or pledge a vow to Islam.
Its a declared war, we are all patriotic dissenters.
If anyone does nothing they deserve to live under the boots of socialism.
“The best days of healthcare in our nation are now passed.”

Don’t worry, we won’t need healthcare. Planning is underway for the elimination of health.
“The simple fact is that the EPA and most of the Federal government workers are engaged in wholly unconstitutional activities.”

A fact so obvious that it seems to be lost in the shuffle.
Remember that the EPA was granted the ability to regulate “Greenhouse” gases (CO2, Methane, ect), by the SCOTUS.
Then it's back to court to confuse another senile judge.
EPA is in such bad shape when it comes to regulation writing they couldn't even figure out how to let oil skimmers come in to skim oil after the BP blowout.
Then, given the low quality of the political scam artists who hold the appointed jobs at EPA, they really can't hire quality legal talent. Most lawyers know that you don't have to put up with such low quality bosses and the smart ones moved on early in the game.
The post office clause is still in the Constitution, as well as all that stuff about army and navy.
Not to be picky, but when you say "most" make sure you have the numbers to back up your claim.
All these ‘implementors’ should be hung by the neck until dead - [that is, after Obama is thrown out and we can get them into a court]
