In 1969, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross proposed that there are five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. In the wake of John Robertss incoherent Supreme Court flip-floppery, most conservatives appear to find themselves in stage 1 (Hey, we held the line on the Commerce Clause!) or stage 2 (Roberts is a traitor!). There are some in stage 3 (If we lay off Roberts, maybe hell help us out in the future?) and a few in stage 4. But the reality is this: Republicans must run the table in November or we will all have to accept the permanence of Obamacare.
Mitt Romney said it best on Thursday. If we want to get rid of Obamacare, were going to have to replace President Obama. Those who have been sitting on the sidelines, out of complacency or loyalty to someone else from the primaries, must get out of their chairs and get to work. But while that work must end with Mitt Romney in the White House, it must begin with a Republican majority in the Senate.

Eventually the socialistas will win. 47% are on the take and we are importing socialista voters from the south (and graveyard). I think we will, however, win in November.
If it is just another tax. If I do not use the service, then I do not have to pay the tax!
Just to remind people here who cannot get their timeline straight, Scott Brown was not in the Senate when the Senate passed the final, or any, version.
This is our LAST CHANCE!! I think of the number of time our Revolutionary soldiers had last chances, and they took them. They shed blood for them. Our chance is mild compared to them. Get with it. This battle can be won.
If Ii remember correctly Lieberman gave them the vote to proceed.
If this whole fiasco is not a tax, then why is the IRS administering its enforcement?
There have been all kinds of squirms made in the past week to assure people this law is not a tax bill, but the fact remains, it is an assessment that falls on the poor and wealthy, if not equally by any means, then certainly in a capricious manner. Kind of like the lottery for Selective Service draft calls. You get a low number, you are enmeshed. You get a high number, might never feel a thing.
Actually a whole slew of taxes are covered under the one umbrella, including surtaxes on Medicare for those earning over $250,000 annually, and a number of excise taxes placed upon certain medical equipment of high-tech nature (and therefore expensive to begin with).
And yes, whether you use the services or not, the government can still hold you accountable and demand you pay.
The motto for the Obamatax - “Carpe scrotum!”
Yep, the election this November is for the whole ball of wax. The Revolution is going for broke; four more years, and they will break the US.
We need to “Wisconsinize” the upcoming federal election and make it a Tea Party November! We can lock horns with Romney, et al afterwards.
No matter how well the election goes for the republicans, we will not have a filbuster-proof senate. Therefore we are stuck with Obamacare until early 2015. By then it will be completely implemented and impossible to repeal.

1.) It would appear you are at stage 5 of Dr. Kubler-Ross' 5 stages: acceptance.
2.) It is my understanding that the bill can be repealed by a simple majority of 51; that a filibuster-proof majority is not needed.
If the President is a Republican, he can sign the Bill. If Obama is still there, we will need a two thirds Majority in the House and Senate to override the Veto.
The “47%” on the take is misleading in one regard. It includes retirees living on Social Security, the vast majority of whom oppose Obamacare with a veangeance. They worked hard all their lives and are now retired. They are like the welfare-dependent crowd or people falsely claiming disability or people feeding of the earned income tax credit.
Where has the 60 Senate Fillibuster been sense Thursday. SCOTUS ruled Obamacare Mandate is a Tax therefore a 50 vote in the Senate if Roomey wins. VP breaks ties.
2008: Obama will loose worse than McGovern. No question.
Spring 2012: Obamacare will be struck down in the Supreme Court, no question about it.
Summer 2012: There’s no question Obama will loose to Romney.
‘Run the table’ is exactly what we need. And turn up the gas on 1/21/2013. I just hope there are enough people out there that understand exactly what we are facing...and I’m not confident at all that this is the case.
No, that would have been one of the Maine twins, Olympia Snowe.
She decided not to run for election this year, due to the "Hostile Climate", or somesuch. In other words, her opponent was going to hang that healthcare vote around her neck and beat her with both ends.
Good riddance, IMHO.
-OR- whats the difference between a republican progressive and a democrat progressive?..
answer: not much...
