A Christian student at a Georgia university who was expelled from her school's counseling program for expressing her disagreement with homosexuality has lost a court case against the school.
"(Jennifer) Keeton's speech and conduct were evidently impelled by the absolutist philosophical character of her beliefs, but that character does not entitle her to university accommodation and it is irrelevant to the court's analysis," wrote Judge J. Randall Hall, of the Southern District of Georgia, siding with the university. "Neutrality as a legal standard is immutable, it does not bend to the strength or tenor of personal conviction."

“Neutrality as a legal standard is immutable, it does not bend to the strength or tenor of personal conviction.”
Unless you’re a muslim, a black panther, a communist, a socialist, or a Democrat.

Unless she was a Muslim or a member of some other “protected class”.
Double standards are a way of life for a christian in these United States.
Too bad she wasn’t a Muslim.
This included attending sensitivity training, going to gay pride events and writing papers on her experiences and the lessons she had learned in tolerance.
This is where we are headed as a country, people. Just wait til the courts impose gay marriage on us, and your kids get a similar assignment if they want to pass 2nd grade in the local public school.
did they fire anyone for PRO homo beliefs?
This is nothing other than communist re-education.
Russia, China, Vietnam... it’s no different.
Freedom of Speech does not exist if there is no FREEDOM OF THOUGHT!
This is a violation of the First Amendment.
They don’t like what she believes, tough.
Miss Keeton's "absolutist philosophical character of her beliefs" are the Word of the Almighty Creator God.
And yes, it is very relevant.
'Judge' Randall's court may "analyze" Miss Keeton's speech and conduct and find it 'wanting', but there will come a time when 'Judge' Randall is going to find a greater Judge who will find his 'analysis' specious.
I wonder how this program requires their counselors to deal with pedophiliacs. Are they able to say that pedophilia is a disorder, or would that be too “judgmental”?
How about alcoholism? Can counselors express that alcoholism is a mental disorder, that drunkenness is “wrong”, or that a person might need to deal with underlying issues if diagnosed as alcoholic?
The whole idea of “judging” somebody if you diagnose them would render ALL medical or psychological evaluation as a hate crime. Are counselors allowed to help people, or not? It’s really a question of what the whole profession is about. People pay mental health counselors to give them insights that the people themselves don’t have. They are paying for perspective and a no-BS picture of what’s really going on in their lives and minds. If that’s not allowable, then the profession serves no purpose whatsoever.
From Webster ...
"immutable" -- "never varying or changing, unchangeable"
"neutrality" -- "neutral status, as of a seaport in wartime"
I hope she appeals. There is a cultural and judicial war against Christians in America.
Her behavior and speech can be taxed by the Feds now and policed by the IRS as punishment. Time to reign in the governments power to tax and spend!!
Amen.
Glenn Beck talked about this outrage on his radio show a short while ago.
“but there will come a time when ‘Judge’ Randall is going to find a greater Judge who will find his ‘analysis’ specious”
And it can’t come soon enough for me.
Neutrality. It’s what’s expected of white, Christian conservatives when faced with radical leftist, atheistic, nihilistic, humanistic and islamist reality.
Beware of those who have one-letter first names.
She will win on appeal and then get a significant settlement from the school. That was the result of a similar case in Michigan.

I really hope so.
