The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.

At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

Eric Holder, the WORST AG ever, in the history of America.

So I’ll throw it out there....that story about the Dems setting up this Fast & Furious program to grind out a story about gun control....it seems lame to me.

Not saying it’s not true. This admin, with the magnificent prognosticator Valerie Jarrett, does tend to create scenarios to fool us boobs out here in la-la land where we carry this country on our backs.

I’m thinking that perhaps this whole operation was actually INTENDED to get guns into Mexico, that the money raised was to be used to fund the Obama campaign.

Hey, where the money comes from for this guy is very questionable. I’m certain Saudi Arabia paid for Obamer’s stint at Harvard. I’m pretty sure those millions in bundled “small donor amounts” were from questionable sources, remember there was a slew of very weird amounts, like $49.98....indicating some kind of exchange rate on the money.

Let us not forget that Holder’s law firm represented Al Queda/terrorist types brought in by our military. Perish the thought that Holder wanted to bring up the Gitmo terrorists to N Y that his law firm should profit from it, how dare you think this.

Holder is a thief and a thug. Now whether it was Holder trying to make a buck by sending lots of guns to Mexico, or he was doing so on behalf of his boss....well I dunno.

But the whole thing has got Obamer spooked. I think Issa and congressional colleagues have got the goods on these guys, I think there were lots of Whistle Blowers, I think Holder and Obamer thought they could always play the race card at the accusations/suspicion hurled at them.

I think that the congress, especially the pubs, have got to be brave and hold to their stand.

Sorry, but that just does not sound logical, that an AG would be incharge of his own prosecution. Must be some Independent Prosecutor or some other pathway involved somehow.

Although you may very well be right. Hope not.

Louis Fisher, the scholar in residence at the nonprofit Constitution Project, said he doesn’t expect Holder to get involved in the process, saying it would appear “too cozy, too contrived” and politically risky.

“Politically and legally, it doesn’t look attractive,” Fisher told FoxNews.com. “Obviously Holder’s been under pressure for more than a year, but I think there will be an argument by the Justice Department that anytime a president authorizes something, that whomever follows the president’s orders cannot be prosecuted.”

This guy is making the same argument that Hitler’s henchmen did at Nuremburg! We did not allow THEM to use such an excuse!

Wasn’t that a preliminary vote. I’m told that the final debate and vote will commence after these two 5 minute unamimous consent votes.

Is there an attorney out there that can explain what is the next step if he is held in contempt of Congress? Is he arrested? I am at a loss to know what actually happens.

Holder is not in peril, or criminal jeopardy. The DOJ will never prosecute Holder on the Congressional Contempt vote. It will necessitate a civil trial, which will be delayed for years.

It is rapidly appearing that Obama and Holder are “untouchable.”

All we have is the ballot box, and we had better use it right in November.
