National Hurricane Center has TS Debby moving west with a landfall in TX. Many think that is wrong.
Keep a watch at NEXRAD, but for what it's worth, my best WAG is 50 kt winds, moving onshore north of Cedar Key, across state then, out into to Atlantic at Amelia Island.
This will be a slow moving storm, so flooding from water accumulation could be a problem. Some areas north of Tampa Bay have already had 4-6 inches of rain.
No guarantee, but worth a watch.
Be safe
It’s the Gubermint Forecasters that got it wrong again.
When Charlie caused such damage on a swath from Punta Gorda to Daytona, our stations’s chief weather guesser had it coming ashore at Punta Gorda as a Class 4. NHC had it skirting Tampa as a Class 1.
Friends from a low-lying house in Tampa came to stay with us... and got the full brunt of the Class 4 storm, right up I-4!
Isn’t it a shame! Debbie won’t move on, like another Debbie we know. Leave it to Debbie to dampen progress here in Florida!!
Just wish she would move and break up instead of sitting around trying to get more dangerous!!
Looks like it's gonna rain a lot for a few days. We got caught drivin' in it today and I hate hydroplaning!
So far, we got about 10" in S-E Tampa ................................. FRegards
