Can Jay Carney be indicted for lying at press conferences?

Posted on 06/21/2012 7:13:30 PM PDT by dewawi

Just curious. If this clown Carney is knowingly lying to the press at press conferences. When the inevitable happens (someone comes forward and volunteers to be state's witness or evidence regarding crimes committed by the administration) what happens to Carney?

The only thing worse than listening to "Judge" Carney would be being "Judge" Carney.

Unfortunately, no, but he has pretty much ended his “career” as a “journalist” and relegated himself to paid hackery.

“Can Jay Carney be indicted for lying at press conferences?”

No.

But it will probably help him with getting a job at one of the networks in 2013....

Traditionally, Carney passes into obscurity. If this were a just world, Carney and the media fellow travelers would be breaking rocks in West Texas.

Perhaps a civil lawsuit for defamation and false accusations...

Lying? By a press spokesman? That’s part of the job description.

Carney says he CAN. That must mean he can’t.

I would so love to see that. Ridicule is the best criticism.

As a former resident of West Texas, I know that this is far to good for Carney. I would suggest the "empty quarter' of Saudi Arabia. I have been there and worked in that hell hole. 100 degrees in the winter, and a hell of a lot more in the summer, big black scorpions, and camel spiders and camels themselves are descipable beasts.

The most beautiful thing there is the British Airways flight that takes you back to London;

It’s not illegal for him to lie to the press. Heck, the press lies to us all the time, so what’s just one more lie.

I just don’t understand how anyone could get up for work every day, knowing that he’s going to do nothing but lie and cover up for a corrupt, evil regime.
