The November election between U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Rep. Connie Mack in Florida is set to be a close race, according to a new Quinnipiac poll.
Sen. Bill Nelson edges Rep. Connie Mack, 43 to 39 percent, in the Sunshine State contest for Nelsons Senate seat, a new Quinnipiac poll says.
The projected November election between U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Mack looks like it could go down to the wire, said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
Nelson has gained the slight edge since being tied with Mack in a May 24 poll. Nelson has served two terms in the Senate, replacing Rep. Macks father who retired.
Brown said Nelson gets modest reviews from voters, who give him a 47-32 percent job approval rating compared to Macks 34-22 percent favorability rating.

43% for a sitting Senator is a terrible number.
Have to like Mack's chances in this one.

It’s good news that Bill Nelson is losing support. What sucks is that we have to resort to the likes of Connie Mack IV to win this.

Bill Nelson is not very popular in Florida.
He is so dull his brother-in-law told me that he has never voted for him once.

Can’t we get some fresh blood in here for G-d’s sake? Bill Nelson? Connie Mack? I mean, c’mon. They’re both so yesterday.

I've been telling this to everyone in my path lately: Florida will go to Romney in a squeaker despite the best efforts of the dead and multiple voting patterns of the living-- legal and otherwise. AND we will see the Rats challenge the outcome in the courts. Another fiasco replete with race riots and such.
Mark my words.

Florida will go to Romney in a squeaker despite the best efforts of the dead and multiple voting patterns of the living-- legal and otherwise. And if that happens the Senate seat will go R. This looks like another coat-tails race.

Nelson will get axed by the tide which is running way too strongly against Democrats. Low enthusiasm to vote among Blacks Hispanics and Jews plus a popular well funded Connie Mack equals another Senate pick up.

Pretty much - A great VP pick will help him of course & I suppose he could really mess up his VP pick, but I’m seeing good numbers here - along with a whole lot less of Obama/Biden stickers!
The Media are either deluded or lying - just like when Bush won over kerry in 04 & Jeb Bush blew away his opponent for his last term as governor.
