If the Republicans use Rubio, they are giving Obama’s elegbility a pass, Rubio is ineligible for the same reason Obama is. Not a Natural Born American.

Good. First, we should not take ANY conservative (even one who has pro-illegal leanings) out of the Senate. This would be beyond stupid. We need EVERY conservative in the Senate we can muster. Second, we cannot even consider taking a swing-state conservative Gov (Kasich or Walker). Those guys may be needed in the election.

So, honestly people, the best choice is to take a RINO Republican OUT of the Senate in a state where a conservative governor (SC? AZ?) can replace that person with a conservative senator. It's a Two-Fer. We gain a conservative in the senate and remove an obstacle. Then hope Mitt doesn't croak.

What happens if Romney has a stroke or a heart attack?

Rubio won’t be legally capable of taking over the country.

Regardless of who is currently breaking laws in the Whitehouse just for egotism highs America will eventually return to upholding constitutional laws.

Good possibility that Mitch Daniels -absolutely no charisma or good looks, will be picked.

Bilderberg conspiracy.

...and make inroads with Hispanics.

Ask him how he intends to make inroads with Americans, especially white Americans?

I'm posting this here, too, because there is another thread just after this one that will probably be locked.

I’d like to hear more about Governor McDonnell of Virginia. This notion that the party must find an Hispanic VP candidate in order to pander to that group is a total loser. We already know how many votes years of pandering by Juan McCain won in 2008; the lowest Hispanic vote in recent history for a Republican candidate.

And Rubio now looks like panderer #1 as he tries to sell one more poorly disguised amnesty for illegal alien plan. The last thing the party needs is anyone on the ticket pushing amnesty schemes to compete with the Dims for Hispanic votes.

Mario “Dream Act” Rubio who attacked AZ’s immigration/ILLEGAL ALIEN law and refused to join the Senate’s Tea Party caucus.

Rubio is just another GOPE RINO....

Romney's dad was born in Mexico....doesn't this make Romney ineligable to be president?

I'm thinking there is an effort to marginalize the constitution's natural born citizen clause.

Several attempts to amend this law before Obozo came onto the scene. Now Rubio, Romney, Jindal are all being groomed for higher office

Is this just me?

Jonathan Karl of ABC on GMA this morning thinks Pawlenty is at the top of the list.

Stephanopoulos thinks Ryan is on the short list.

In a recent column, Dick Morris urges Romney to pick Rubio for VP to offset Emperor Obama’s kiddie amnesty panderploy. (I think I just coined a new word!)

While Morris makes an interesting purely POLITICAL point, he conveniently OVERLOOKS the CONSTITUTIONAL question about Rubio’s eligibility.

Though Rubio has waffled on a few issues lately, I respect his general conservatism, which almost certainly flows from his parents having fled the nightmare of Castro’s Marxist island prison.

But therein lies the problem: Rubio’s PARENTS do not meet the necessary requirement of “natural born” for which Obama is today being challenged in a Florida court. In fact, Larry Klayman, attorney for the DEMOCRAT plaintiff in that case, made a glancing reference to the ineligibility of both Rubio and Bobby Jindal in his presentation to Judge Lewis on 6/18.

Look folks, either we HAVE a Constitution or we DO NOT. If Rubio, the son of parents who fled one form of ONE MAN TYRANNY, offers for or is tapped for VP, will he not be furthering the accelerating destruction of the very document the Founders left us to prevent our becoming a nation of men as opposed to a nation of LAWS, the Constitution being the primary exemplar?

And if the Hispanics here – legally and otherwise – help Obama to a second term on the basis that the rule of law and the Constitution are not important, they have only to look to Cuba to see where THAT will lead. They will have helped turn “here” into “there” and will no longer have a “here” to which to flee the tyranny.

Since it’s becoming increasingly clear that most of the morons on Capitol Hill don’t give a damn about any of these “details”, it appears it’s once again – as ALWAYS — up to “we the people.”

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re in the process of CHOOSING SIDES in America.

Which side are YOU on??

“Marco Rubio Not Being Vetted to Be Mitt Romney’s Running Mate”

Gee, we sure didn’t see headlines like this from ABC or the rest of the mainstream media when it was -Obama- who should have been subject to “vetting”....

Having said that, expect more of this - MUCH more - if Rubio is Romney’s chosen running mate.

There are many (including myself) who do not believe he is Constitutionally qualified to be president.

There is much “hay to be made” here, and you can be sure they’ll be a-mowin’ it!

I wouldn’t put too much credence in this article. First of all, the report that he is not being vetted may be a smoke screen to take attention away from him or distract the Dems digging for dirt. If they have a report that he is not being vetted, why don’t they have reports of who “IS” being vetted? A lot of rumors and false information are going to be floating around on this subject until Romney is ready to announce.

I think that Rubio knows in his heart that he's not a natural born citizen, which is why he's been declining to be considered for the VP spot.
