Our nuclear subs use 97.3% enriched uranium.

The announcement of this project should probably serve to justify uranium weapons grade enrichment to allegedly fuel the reactor of the submarine.

A’hmanutjob gave the project away when he ordered the screen doors and made a point of getting them made special to stand up to salt water.

. . . and obviously, a nuclear sub with “long-range” capabilities is solely for “peaceful purposes”, right?? How transparent can they be, here?

Thing is, how small can they make it. From what I read their plant is something like the size of a WalMart.

Yes, when Iran gets around to building a totally NEW Navy, all vessels will have glass bottom hulls, why?

So they can see the OLD Iranian Navy.

They probably didn’t know what to do with the drone so they took the wings off and are going from there with the help of the Chinese.

They have no experience at all about building subs, much less building a nuke sub. The attempt would be an abysmal failure. This is either more chest beating or a cover for further enriching uranium or both.

Fat chance.

They couldn’t even build a decent diesel electric sub. HAd to buy the few they had from Russia and they are the older Kilos at that.

The ones they have built are truly “midget” subs displacoing no more than 100 tons.

Their largest warship that they have built...and they have the audacity to call the thing a destroyer...is a corvette sized vessels weighing in at about 1500 tons when modern frigates are 3000-5000 tons and modern destroyers are 6000-9000 tons.

So I do not think a nuclear attack sub is in the cards for them building any time soon. And I do nt believe Russia even would sell them one of their really old ones.

Now China’s naval growth is a different matter all together.

Laughable.

They would have to buy so many parts from western vendors. It’s not like they are going to invent a programmable process control industry inside Iran.

So they buy PLCs from the west. Perhaps some pressure vessels. Some coating technology. Valves and switches and gauges.

They are so ripe for defective, sabotaged equipment. They have to buy from a supply chain that leaves plenty of unpstream room for deadly tinkering.

Ahmadinnerjacket and the mullahs don’t have the technology. If they do try to build a real bomb and not just a dirty one it’ll likely be the zip gun equivalent. Good news for everyone else, bad news for the civilians close by. A nuke sub? Right after plaid monkeys fly out of my butt and break dance.
