That was very cool! I will show hubby when he gets home. He has planted several pots with various things...have no idea what...but they just aren’t thriving yet.

I do have some lilies about to bloom, and my shasta daisies are doing good after we had a bit of rain last month. I lost a rose bush, though, and it made me sad. Not planting any more of them till I’m sure this is over.

The hand watering sucks! :)

The bane of containers is dry and drench cycles. The gutter looks like it would ensure even watering.

I watched a bunch of the video’s in that series, he has guys from TX and AZ sending him proof that it works in hot , dry climates.

Uncovered a 10 foot stretch uses about 5 gallons a day, I bet if you cover the open spaces to minimize evaporation you could cut that to 2.5 gallons.

If you aren’t growing food, you could use grey water.
