'Family Feud' TV host Richard Dawson dies at 79

LOS ANGELES (AP) Richard Dawson, the wisecracking British entertainer who was among the schemers in the 1960s TV comedy "Hogan's Heroes" and a decade later began kissing thousands of female contestants as host of the game show "Family Feud" has died. He was 79.
Dawson, also known to TV fans as the Cockney prisoner-of-war Cpl. Peter Newkirk on "Hogan's Heroes," died Saturday night from complications related to esophageal cancer at Ronald Reagan Memorial Hospital, his son Gary said.

If Carpenter is the guy I’m thinking of, it sure looked as if he killed Crane but nothing could be proven. In addition, JC, on his death bed was given a chance to come clean if he did murder Bob Crane and said he did not (FWIW).
I could be mistaken.

He was outstanding in Hogan's Heroes,Match Game and Family Feud.I love watching those Youtube videos of stupid game show answers...him asking an Air Force pilot “name one of the Three Bears” and the pilot says “Yogi”...great stuff.
