Obamas Polish Death Camp Comment Infuriates Polish Americans
By Pete Winn May 31, 2012
(CNSNews.com) President Obama not only angered the people of Poland with a comment he made on Tuesday referring to Polish death camps -- he also infuriated Polish Americans, many of whom live in Obamas home town of Chicago.
The Polish-American Congress, based in Chicago, has sent a letter to Obama saying as much and demanding an apology.
Our community in the United States and abroad was deeply hurt by your reference to the Polish death camps, Polish-American Congress President Frank J. Spula wrote.
This is an egregiously and historically incorrect attribution of responsibility for the death camps installed and maintained by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland, camps in which millions of Poles, both Jewish and Christian, perished.
Obama touched off the firestorm of protest on Tuesday during ceremonies at the White House where he bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously on Jan Karski

"In Chicago, the President will deliver remarks at a campaign event at the Chicago Cultural Center before delivering remarks at two campaign events at private residences in Chicago. There will be pool coverage of the Presidents remarks at the Chicago Cultural Center and print pool coverage for remarks only at the two private residences."
"The President will spend the night in Chicago."

You have to give the Kenyan a break, it’s just too hard to tell the difference between those white tribes.
Wisconsin, Michigan, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania each have 7% to 10% of their population with Polish ancestry (not counting honorary Poles like Senate candidate Elizabeth Warrenski). This is not as big a blunder as offending Catholics, but it adds to the general tone of Obama’s tone deaf candidacy.
I hope that conservatives connected to Polish-American clubs in MI, OH, WI, and PA are talking with their friends about Obama’s gaffe and about his snub of Lech Walesa.
“(not counting honorary Poles like Senate candidate Elizabeth Warrenski).”
LOL
I’m curious how many of these “outraged” Poles in Illinois gave Hussein a boost by voting for him when he ran for lower office, and also when he ran in ‘08?
Well, let's see. Zero trashes their faith and their national honor. Now all he has to do is dump on vodka and pierogi and he'll really be welcome in Hamtramck.
The things they teach at Hahvahd...
The Nazis and the Muslim Brotherhood were allies.
Of course Hussein Obama is going to project their crimes on to the Poles.
Probably a lot, just like a lot of Polish-Americans probably voted for Carter in 1976. But if the GOP offers them something better (I know, I know) then we can get some "Reagan Democrats" to come on over.
Look at the good side. If obama becomes dicator and chief, as he hopes and changes, we will have someplace to escape to. We already have death camps; their politely called abortion clinics.
He also snubbed Lech Walesa
The thing that most rankles is White House has “refused” to apologize. They put out the word that expressing their “regrets” should cover it nicely. Meanwhile, the punk gtovels to all kinds of tin horn dictators, and the Japanese government had to beg him to NOT apologize for Nagasaki and Horoshima (else the anti-American wins in Tokyo would go nuts). He bows to all the thugs, but spits on our friends (e.g. Lech) and allies (e.g. Israel and UK).
Saw that in NR. Their report, if true and I have no reason to doubt it, will make the "Polish death camp" comment seem insignificant. One can be explained as a slip of the tongue, while the other is a premeditated affront and insult to the last of the four leaders who shoved the USSR into history's dustbin. And an insult to the nation and People he roused to action and led to Freedom. If NR's report is accurate, this action by Obama goes beyond disgraceful.
Good News, Bad News.
GOOD NEWS: Americans of Polish descent living in Illinois will vote against 0.
BAD NEWS: Americans of Polish descent in Illinois cemeteries will continue to vote for 0.
I agree with what you say, but I point out that what Zero read off of the teleprompter regarding “Polish death camps” was written in advance by his staff.
It was no “slip of the tongue”.
Is there any group he hasn’t pi$$ed off?
Can’t figure why he would commit such a political gaffe as snubbing Walesa especially coming from Chicago
makes no sense politically
“(not counting honorary Poles like Senate candidate Elizabeth Warrenski).”...........
You cracked me up when I read that line. I am still laughing.
97% of a certain segment....they will never give up support for him.
