SLATON, TX (KCBD) - Parents at Stephen F. Austin in Slaton are concerned about their children's safety after a group of preschoolers displayed inappropriate behavior on the playground.
Superintendent Julee Becker confirmed that the incident did involve sexual behavior, but she says supervision levels on school grounds, especially on the playground, have been increased.
Several parents of students with disabilities called KCBD NewsChannel 11, worried that their kids would not be able to defend themselves if touched inappropriately.
Becker said the students involved were disciplined accordingly and says it was a one-time incident. Josie Dabila, grandparent of a Stephen F. Austin student said she witnessed several events of inappropriate sexual behavior on the playground. Becker says the increased supervision will prevent events like this happening in the future.

Irony: When sex education is taught to younger and younger kids, and people are appalled when they actually try those things.
{Ping to Metmom for the ARTH list... not a whole lot of solid information here, but the principal’s nonchalant attitude is extremely disconcerting, IMHO.]
A “one-time incident”, huh? Well, that makes it all better then, I guess... (NOT!!!) It only takes ONE TIME to scar a child for life.
As for saying these children have been disciplined - what kind of discipline did they receive? Was this a case of “playing doctor” and have they now scarred the OTHER kids for life?
As for “increased supervision”? Yeah... that’s NOT going to work. I hope the school contacted social services about this in regards to the children who were behaving inappropriately (and no, I’m not one who casually suggests this sort of drastic action).
You’re dealing with 3 and 4 year-olds here. Depending on the specific sexual activity it could be a HUGE warning sign that the child leading the behavior is being abused.
Like you said though - it’s all speculation until someone talks about what really happened. I just had to say that the principal’s reaction, and the way they brushed it off like it was “no big thing” would make me EXTREMELY uneasy to let my child go back to that school. The victim has no rights in the school systems when this happens - even worse when you have parents of special needs students who are worried because the kids can’t defend themselves, and I’m guessing some couldn’t even communicate that they’d been hurt...
Sex Education was introduced by the Cultural Marxists to destroy morality and normalize abnormal behavior in children. There should be NO sex ed in schools-—in the seventies when it was introduced sexual activity increased and was directly connected to putting ideas of sexually acting out into their heads. They want to emulate adults...it is common sense. That is why parents are always discrete when around children. They copy what they see and hear especially if the adults are explaining how pleasant it is.
Sex Ed removes morality from the sex act and reduces it to a meaningless animal act. Children are too immature to deal with the information in a positive, mature way—they are immature by nature and tease and demean differences. It destroys any awe and mystery of the sex act which professionals say is necessary for normal sexual development. It makes children disgusted with the opposite sex—it demeans the intimacy of marriage and reduces sex to a group activity.
Sexual activity of teenagers went from less than 3% to 30 percent in a generation and now with media promoting sex and sexualizing children it is even higher-—we are talking about children 12 now—when it used to be zero for that age unless they were being sexually abused.
It is to corrupt children. Even Rousseau the father of Marxism and hippies-—whose infant kids were put into orphanages and died in their first year-—said that children’s innocence needs to be protected at least until puberty since once they are interested in sex all intellectual development is out the window and emotions become a big distraction.
Marxists want emotions—feel good, do it—taught in the schools—that is integrated into sex ed. It is to destroy the concept of Christian Ethics (God) and responsibility and Natural Laws so that Marxists can shape them into addicted stupid drones-—useful idiots for their mob acorn jobs.
If they don’t explain what happened it’s hard to say anything about it. Little kids have been doing the “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours” since time began.
Little kids have been doing the Ill show you mine if you show me yours since time began.
Not to mention running past & (boy) flipping up a skirt hem or (girl) jerking down on pants; then (all) chanting “teacher, teacher, I declare! I see ___’s underwear!”
These days, a hug or a smooch on the cheek is also well within most schools’ definitions of “sexual behavior” and “inappropriate touching”.
I’ll save my ranting until, and if, we’re given facts that warrant genuine, as opposed to PC, outrage.
We’re they giving each other Wet Willies?
I had to figure it out on my own
Well, we have no idea what happened in this story but our guesses have revealed the upside down hypocrisy of today’s social rules. Little kids are accused of inappropriate sexual conduct for normal curiosity and by the time they are ten they’re being pushed to learn every sexual perversion known to man and “experiment” with it.
Liberal teachers foment lack of ethics and morals to ensure future generations of “DemocRAT” voters!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Wonder what she's been smoking.....
Oh, what a Brave New World we live in.....
I’m still not sure I’ve got it right.....
Exactly. Kids that age should have no concept of sexual behavior. They HAD TO have learned it somewhere.
Let’s see. Maybe a boy hugged a girl? Maybe, like my son, he called a girl a princess. Maybe it was natural curiosity about their bodies. In any case I can guarantee it’s complete over reaction by the school.
Perhaps, the new standard is this:
Was it more or less ‘intense’ than a TSA pat-down?

When I was 5 I learned what a male organ looked like (I had no brothers) because 2-1/2 year old little Tony from down the street would pull his out when ever and where ever he had “go”.
What this article fails to state is if this is normal preschool curiosity hyperbolized, or if it goes beyond this.
I’d bet that little Tony would be labeled a sexual deviant for taking a leak.
I was born in Slayton Tx.
not much to do up there.
What you say is not unusual.
The real problem with this story is that we really have no idea what happened/ What, precisely, was the “sexual activity”?
Correct. We have no idea what the “sexual activity” was. It could have been as simple as a kid being “pantsed” by another kid or the scenario you mentioned. Who knows.
