A group of 18 people dressed in black, wearing masks, wielding steel batons and hammers and claiming to be extreme anti-racists allegedly stormed a suburban Chicago family restaurant in broad daylight to assault a meeting of alleged white supremacists, officials said.
Ten people were injured and at least three required treatment for head wounds as a result of the attack Saturday at the Ashford House Restaurant in Tinley Park, Ill., a quiet Chicago suburb. The restaurant sustained $15,000 in damages including broken plates, glasses and furniture.
"I've been mayor for 31 years," Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki tells ABC News, "and I've never heard of anything stranger than this."
Five of the attackers were caught and have now been charged with aggravated battery, mob action and criminal damage to property, all felonies. Brothers Jason, Cody and Dylan Sutherlin, along with Alex Stuck and John Tucker are all from Indiana. The men are connected to the Hoosier Anti-Racist Movement (H.A.R.M.) whose website now claims them as "The Tinley Park 5?.
Meanwhile the targets of their attack were about a dozen members of the Illinois European Heritage Association...

Two of these victims were also caught up in the police investigation following the incident: Steven Speers of North Dakota was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of child pornography and Francis Gilroy of Florida was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
A restaurant surveillance camera captured some of the melee on video and Zabrocki viewed it before it was turned over to prosecutors as evidence in the investigation.
"You see the door opens up, these 15, 18 people walk in. They've got hoods on, they've got masks on," Zabrocki said.

You have really messed up on your logic here. When I used the phrase "this way of thinking" I was referring quite specifically to the ideas expressed by FReeper "Crucial" in his Reply #54. (I even quoted those ideas in my reply to him.) Now you claim that Stormfront was founded to promote those ideas and criticize me for failing to recognize that this renders them racists.

I hold these truths to be self-evident:
A group that is proud of its heritage is not inherently racist.
A group that is proud of its heritage to the point where it feels it is superior to other groups, is racist.
A group that is proud of its heritage and feels cheated by other groups is racist and potentially dangerous.
Just because a group is “racist and potentially dangerous” does not mean that group should be denied the right to assemble. If, however, their feelings compel them to violence, their violent acts should be prosecuted as ANY OTHER violent act is prosecuted, without the taint of trying to determine their motivation.

I am a proud American. I love this country and think that it is a light unto the world. Now, as it happens many of my ancestors date back to the founding. Those who founded our great nation were predominantly of a certain ethnic background (English and Scots-Irish). It is largely from these cultures that our exceptional American culture and nation were first formed. Thus I hold in particularly high regard the culture and accomplishments of the English and Scots-Irish of the eighteenth century. I consider their culture and their accomplishments to be superior to that of others of their time.
I do not think it is necessarily racist for people to be proud of, and to uphold as superior, cultural or even physical attributes of the people with whom they share blood ties. Dutch people are sometimes proud of their size and strength. French and Italian people sometimes think that women of their ethnicities are the most beautiful. Kenyans sometimes express pride that so many of the best long-distance runners are Kenyan. Jewish people are sometimes proud of how many great intellectuals are Jewish. Etc., etc.
I don't think there is anything wrong with feeling a greater kinship toward people with whom you share ethnic ties. (Obviously these feelings are common and natural, what else is St. Patrick's Day about for example?) And I don't think there is anything wrong with recognizing the specific superior attributes of some groups just because you are a member of that group. (Otherwise I would be fine admiring Kenyan athleticism and Jewish intelligence but not English jurisprudence. What sense would that make?)
Racism is something else entirely and this is explicitly recognized by most people in most cases.
We have a black history month, we have latino pride organizations and events, Chinese New Year parades, etc. Only whites are singled out and told that if we feel special kinship toward other white people, or think that certain attributes or accomplishments of white people are exemplary, that this is wrong and racist and must be squelched.
This sort of disparate treatment is the one and only true definition of racism. Within present-day American society it is only anti-white racism that is thus widely condoned.

Any person who is not retarded can read the plain meaning of these words. This passage states that the victims are members of a group called the "Illinois European Heritage Association" and that the meeting was mentioned on some web forum. The passage simply does not state that the victims are members of any other group, including the group that apparently hosts the web forum, nor does it claim that there exists any relationship between the IEHA and the website host organization.
Period.

Look at the passage. It is the word of the evil SPLC. It is entirely speculative with no evidence cited. And it does not claim that the assault victims are members of Stormfront.
