A Washington man was recovering in the hospital Monday after he suffered a vicious beating for asking someone to pick up their litter, myFOXdc.com reported.
Police urged the public for help in tracking down the assailant, who remains at large.

When I was a teen, I went into a bathroom in the Yosemite National Park. I noticed someone left a bag of trash in my stall and as a good citizen I’d already decided to take it out and put it in the trash, but a really obnoxious tree-hugger type got in my face and ordered me to take it out. I’ll redily admit I threatened him with great bodily harm after which I told him he could take it out.

There are just such people living next doors to me. Their garbage can is always overflowing and spills out on the street. Beer cans & fast food containers strewn regularly. And these people drive nice cars, are polite, dress nice. What is going on with people under 30 drinking so much beer & smoking?
The victim could have collected the 5 cent deposit, instead of getting a hospital bill for his pains.

Completely agree. There are certain actions that immediately tell you all you need to know about a person. Throwing trash on the ground (or out the car window) are one of them.

Not too long ago I saw a ‘lady’ come to stop in her car, roll down the window, toss out a big bag of garbage from a fast food restaurant, roll up the window, and drive away. What also really struck me was her body language/facial expression. This wasn’t something she was ashamed of. She didn’t look around too see if anyone was looking. She was expressionless, just matter-of-fact approach to taking out the garbage as she likely often does...
I can draw a ton of conclusions and would likely be right about what is common among such pigs.
Me too, I used to get mad, but I was in BiH during the war, and I'd see women go out everyday, and sweep the road in front of their houses. I pretty much do that now.
My biggest peeve is my neighbors who dump their kitchen leftovers into the storm drain..Hello, it's a raccoon, and possum magnet, fools.
They also stuff their yard trash down there..leaves, twigs, small branches..Hello, you're going to block the storm drain, fools.

As an RN, on the way home one night from the hospital, I stopped at an accident between 2 semi-trucks. I was first on the scene. In my best nurse/mom, “I’m in charge here,” I stood in the road and demanded the one trucker give me his flashlight. He tried, “no, it’s mine.” I stared him down and continued demanding. He sheepishly gave it up. It was only later it occurred to me, and made me weak in the knees, he was a young, black man at least twice my size. My attitude of authority made him compliant. I doubt I would have tried that if it wasn’t an emergency and I wasn’t on nurse auto-pilot. lol. It was a good lesson.

Ya see they could easily keep their trash in their car till they get home, but instead they send the message, "F-you to all" , where they dump their waste.

To my knowledge, no one is getting paid to pick up your trash, so how exactly are you paying for the price of your litter?
