Like Warren, Obama Claims Cherokee Ancestry--But Offers No Proof President Barack Obama and Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren have more in common than just their liberal political ideology, Harvard Law pedigree, and Democratic Party affiliation. Both claim Cherokee ancestry, and neither can prove it.

Sound like Chief 0bama swimming in lightning water.
We're all Cherokee now.
I was taking a graduate class and one of my fellow students was an American Indian. Somehow the class discussion got on matters of race and he told us how often times when he meets someone new they claim to be part Indian and when they do it is always part Cherokee.
We can see. It doesn’t suit (<dual meaning) him...
Obviously Obammy is a test tube baby, that someone shook the hell out of before putting it in the turkey baster!/s

The Stanley's were related to Andrew Jackson the Indians best friend.
You can't find a Indian with a twenty Dollar Bill.
(Beautiful cat)
Cherokee, eh?
Do they have Cherokees in Kenya?
Yeah, like the time I tried to get a share of the Indian casino profits by claiming Indian heritage.
Yes, Jeep Cherokees.
The claim to Cherokee “ancestry” is probably one of the easier ones to assert, yet one of the much more difficult ones to prove. There is little likelihood the Dunham family had any significant ties EVER with the Cherokees, and the mere presence of high cheekbones is absolutely no indication of any blood relationship. And for sure, the Obama side of the family had little, if any, opportunity to any kind of contact with the Cherokee people at ANY time in history.
Of course, there is significant reason to doubt that Barack Hussein Obama, Senior, has ANY genetic tie to the Current Occupant of the Oval Office, as there is no DNA evidence ever made public.
Perhaps somewhere in this undisclosed part of Obama’s genetic heritage, there may be some ancestor who COULD claim some kinship, if not to the Cherokee, to some other American Indian tribal affiliation. But again, given the deliberate concealment of any of Barack Hussein Obama II’s true roots, this is a very difficult assertion to prove in any positive manner.
Did Obama pick up in his “wonderful” Taqqiya in the Indonseian Madrassa?
Big deal. I supposedly have Black Foot and Cherokee in my bloodline.
Sadly, I don’t look one bit “High Cheek Bone Native American”. I got purdy blue eyes, Whitey Skin Covering, Hairy Legs(Sasquatch secretly envies me) and I guess I’m off the reservation because, as I’ve told my Mom, all my life “Who wants to self identify with the losing side?”
I knew Wilma Mankiller of the Cherokee tribe, George of the Pawnee tribe(forgot his last name but that was interesting how met) and Martha Moore Barker of Quapaw descent and worked for/with me. Martha Introduced me to The Osage Nation and The Ponca Nation.
Through their good referrals I was introduced to the rest of The Five Civilized Tribes.
I still don’t feel anymore Native American than before I met them nor do I feel the need to claim some faux heritage for the experience.
Why in the heck do people feel the need to put an asterisk to their name and really, really believe it garners them favors as being part of some down trodden group?
I am an American of the United States of America. I don’t need some cuddly, feel good, cheap azz, pejorative which is distinctly insignificant if at all to make me fool good or fool people into thinking I have some “really kewl history” behind me.
I tell yuh, it’s stoopit.
I also hear tell I have German, Irish, Scottish and English bloodline. To me I’m just an amalgam of the winning tribes of Celtic and Germanic “Native Europeans” and well, I guess we won.
But really, I’m just a red blooded, USMALE, stamped right here in the Best Country in the world.
Genuine American Made.
Didn’t know the Cherokee migrated to Kenya, I’ll be damned.
