On at least four occasions, MSNBC's Chris Matthews mocked Sarah Palin for how he felt she'd do if she were ever on the hit television game show Jeopardy!.
In a delicious example of instant karma, the self-proclaimed brainiac got his chance to show American how smart he was in a special "Power Players" version of the show Monday, but came up quite short finishing dead last with the paltry sum of only $2,300 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

As a past Jeopardy champion (1 day), I’d like to see the winners of the celebrity version pitched in against the regular competitors.
Wouldn’t be pretty, but it would be entertaining.
Particularly if you could get Sean Connery to participate.
Maybe he was distracted by that thrill running up and down his leg.

6 letters
Chrissy probably thought they meant the texting spelling.
Delicious!
Only liberals could believe a game show is a demonstration of intelligence......just as Trivial Pursuit was a sign of intelligence in the 1980s.
Knowledge of pop culture does not equal intelligence.
Success = intelligence
Well, Jeopardy does have some questions on pop culture, it is mostly history and science subjects.
Alex:
“Sean, you have the board, what do you choose?”
Sean:
“Well Alex, I’ll pick ‘I just boned you wife’ for $600.”
Sarah CAN pronounce Corpsman.... ...remember there, doooooshbag, there is no Corpse in Corpsman.....but dont tell the messiah...let him keep making those teleprompter proof mistakes
And then the fun really began in the category “6-Letter World Capitals” with the answer, “St. Basil’s Cathedral is there.”
Readers are once again reminded the category was “6-Letter World Capitals.”
Almost astonishingly, the pompous and holier-than-thou Matthews responded, “What is Istanbul?”
The correct response - containing six letters and not eight! - was Moscow
*******
By the time he answered this question I was laughing so hard I had tears running.
Porky should learn how to listen and learn instead of speaking over people and trying to look like the smartest man in the room. I hope Sarah got a good laugh out of this one.
I’m a regular viewer of Jeopardy. Aside from Trebek’s idiotic antics and inane questions to conteestants (the Canadian-American makes a fortune at his “job”), the most amusing sets are when they have newspeople like Matthews and Hollyweird Celebrities on as panelists.
Even with dumbed down questions, they demonstrate what asses they are.
Matthews is one of the dmubest since Anderson Cooper, another geographical and historical moron, demonstrated how ignorant he was.
But, I guess, like Trebek and Obama, they can read teleprompers, and answers to questions they otherwise would never know from cue cards, well enough to earn the outrageous salaries they do.
I guess if you really don’t have to work for a princely annual income, or know anything substantial to earn that salary, and you are paid what these ignoramuses earn, liberalism makes sense to you because money has no real value.
I couldn’t take it. I watch Jeopardy! every night, but Monday’s show had Robert Gibbs (yech!), a woman from the communist news network and Prissy Chrissy. That was more than this conservative could stand.
It goes to show you that those that don’t know should keep their mouth shut and learn by listening. That tingle down his leg didn’t make him any smarter.
Not surprising at all. If "liberals" (which these days is a simple alias for socialists and fascists) were even half as smart as they think they are and claim they are... Well, they wouldn't be "liberals" - they'd be conservatives and they'd stop promoting socialist/fascist policies that are doomed to failure.
Even the dullest conservative can look at history, look at economics, and look at human nature and tell you that socialism and/or fascism lead to misery and death on whatever scale you try them on. Only an ignorant fool would keep promoting them and trying them.
Even my dog picks up on the obvious after a little training with positive and negative feedback. Yes, for you slow liberal lurkers out there, I am saying my dog is demonstrably smarter than you are. She picks up on positive/negative feedback, learns, and moves on. You fools keep wanting to repeat and re-try failed, literally deadly policies.
I firmly believe anyone that identifies as a liberal/socialist/fascist is some combination of: ignorant (just hasn't been educated on the truth of these ideas), stupid (has been told the truth but is incapable of grasping it), self-hating and/or hates people (ie. a sociopath), or power-hungry (thinks he/she can use said policies to gain money/power/fame). Whatever the reason(s) - they aren't good for the rest of us, liberals are dangerous to themselves and too us.
Lol, what a blooming idiot. God help him if he ever had to do anything that actually required a little bit of intellectual prowess, not just a popular game show.
What’s really funny is that they dumb down the questions so that these members of the intelligentsia won’t look bad. They even threw in a category about cabinet members, which they should ace since they reported on them at one time. Most of the questions were Teen challenge level. What ticks me off is that they never have on anyone from the right side of the political spectrum outside of someone like Pat Sajak, who, after all does work for the same folks that produce Jeopardy.
Dana Perrino (?) will be on tonight.
I bet Chrissy would really excel in the topic “anal bum covers”.
Tina Fey would have gotten that one. She can see St. Basil’s from her back yard.
