Time to Panic?: Romney Takes Eight Point Lead over Obama
Big Government ^ | 5/12/12/ | John Nolte

Posted on 05/12/2012 10:17:05 AM PDT by y6162

Yesterday, Rasmussen had Governor Romney up 7 points over Obama, 50-43. Today, the poll's rolling three-day average has increased Romney's lead to 8, 50-42.

Any way you slice it, this is horrible news for a sitting incumbent. Not only has his challenger reached the magic 50-point mark for two days running, but any incumbent under 50, especially in the mid-to-low 40s, is in deep trouble. According to Rasmussen, 58% of the country is not ready to vote for this known quantity. And it's just a fact that undecideds almost always choose the challenger.

The conventions are far off and yet the Kenyon is already this far behind? This aint good for him. Even Carter was up on Reagan at/near this point.

The false dictator is about to go into melt down mode and that is a worry to me. This SOB can do a lot of damage in the lame duck session.

LOL. Pretty much. The disaffection with Dems is across the board. Latest polling in OH has the relatively unknown Josh Mandel now within six in a REGISTERED voters poll of Sherrod Brown, who can’t get above 46%. So it’s probably a tie at present.

Most blacks have already demonstrated that they will vote for color over principle.

Being the racist I am I would vote for Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams in a heartbeat.

Even liberals can get dispirited. They won’t vote for Romney, but they will stay home.

When all the dust clears, just watch... black voter percentage will be down from 2008. Obama’s new pro-homo position combined with everything else will cause black to just stay home compared to 2008 levels.

Very true, if they were to dump Ojackass they lose the black vote for the next 20 years.

“It will be interesting to see if say about a month to go and ZERO realizes it's over. He could do a lot of stupid things....”

Yep. And November through January 20, 2013 should be fun too.

Like I posted a few days ago, the day after the election, the incoming GOP government needs to go to the WH and tell Obama, in no uncertain terms, that if he starts a scorched earth campaign on his way out the door, he WILL be prosecuted, ex-POTUS or not.

I am praying for a landslide defeat of Obama, followed by members of his former administration tried, convicted and jailed, and Obama revealed to the world for the know-nothing grifter that he is.

Perhaps true with the black population - I don’t know. I do suspect, however, that there are massive new numbers of illegals, felons and a fresh batch of dead people who will be voting Democrat. This government under Obama has dropped all pretenses of being fair or impartial, or even having the best traditional interests of this country in mind in their actions. They are evil, and evil will do whatever good lets them get away with.

Even leeches and liberals can become disspirited by their standard bearer's incompetence and duplicity. Maybe some of them stay home...

There are enough leeches and liberals who understand enough basic mathematics to realize that in order for them to remain on the dole, the productive class has to be gainfully employed.

I’ve said here in the past that if we (conservatives) ever get full control of the Congress and WH, we should purge this country of the evil that besets it. Indict and imprison any person connected with the lawlessness this administration has perpetrated. RETRIBUTION

What a wasted opportunity for the GOP, who could have been winning this race with a real conservative.

Well, no matter, I’ll crawl across broken glass to vote against Obama. I don’t care who the pubbie is this time.

We need to force Romney to champion our values.

So, if Romney stands up somewhere and parrots off a bunch of conservative platitudes, you'll relax into a state of bliss?

Man, you're easy.

A comment worthy of Mark Twain himself. Well done.

Looks like the DNC will have to dump Obama for some reason or go down to flaming defeat

The Democrat Party can no more abandon Barack Obama than Blanche DuBois could abandon her illusions and face reality.

Barack Obama is the figure which transforms and legitimates an otherwise utterly debauched political party. The party is elitist and riddled with corruption masquerading as egalitarianism. It is riven with Marxists and utterly ruthless and selfish. But no grotesquerie of ideology or deed need be confronted or even acknowledged so long as the party holds to the belief that "Republicans are racists and we are not."

To abandon Obama would be to abandon the very illusion which denies reality.

Too true. Black voters came out in huge numbers for Clinton in his '96 re-election bid, because the momentum of the Reagan economy roared right through Clinton's first term. Blacks were doing as well, or better, than they ever had, and they gave all the credit to Bubba.

Contrast that period to the economic conditions during Obama's term in office. Blacks are now in the worst economic pain in living memory. Starting with the Democrats' take-over of Congress in 2007, then accelerating after the election of Obama, the US economy has nearly imploded. Blacks have been impacted harder than any other American demographic by that.

It will not be possible for Obama to convince blacks that they're better off for having given him their unquestioning support in 2008. They're worse off now, than they were under George Bush, and they KNOW it. Note that Obama isn't doing any sort of major outreach to black voters. How can he, given the pain that his ruin to the economy has caused them?

Oh, yes. I agree with you and have been saying the same on other threads, but the ONE seems to be starting his finish-us-off campaign well in advance of the November election, and if these international treaties and Executive Orders are extensively binding for the United States, we are already in danger that may not be undone.

Ann Romney was right when she said she had worried that it may be too late, though she was reassured by Myther that it wasn’t. I am not too sure of that. Obama and Holder should have been impeached, the czars defunded, and all of them run out of town, but they’re black and indulged instead.

Panic, is real. I’m pretty panicked.

Not sure how this could be expected to go any differently. If this were President Joe Blow everyone would already be widely discussing his pending blowout loss. Almost nothing has went well or right during his term either for the country or for his supporters.
