Lol, what a strange way to talk about the sentences that were handed down... Nine rapists got a total of 77 years, wow. I guess the Daily Mail has an interest in convincing British sheep the court was really tough on them. I mean, 77 years, that's some serious time.

“Asian” is England-English for Indian or Paki.

I'm a bit of a fan of older Brit tv shows, so can confirm that 'asian' is a long-standing descriptor used over there
for most anyone with ethnic roots in Asia, but most often the southern half thereof.

For that paper's home audience, there'd be general concensus as to whom they were referring.
