*David Essex - Rock On*
Hey kid, rock and roll Rock on, ooh, my soul Hey kid, boogey too, did ya
Hey shout, summertime blues Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes Hey kid, rock and roll, rock on
And where do we go from here Which is the way that's clear
Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen Prettiest girl I ever seen See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean (James Dean)
And where do we go from here Which is the way that's clear
Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen Prettiest girl I ever seen See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean Rock on Rock on Rock on
Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on
Rock on Hey, hey Rock and roll Rock on........
*BAD COMPANY--Rock and Roll Fantasy*
Hey, yeah. Here come the jesters, one, two, three. It's all part of my fantasy, I love the music and I love to see the crowd, Dancing in the aisles and singing out loud, yeah.
Here come the dancers one by one, Your mamas calling but you're having fun You'll find you're dancing on a number nine cloud Put your hands together and sing it out loud
Its all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy, yeah. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, yeah.
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. It's all part of my rock 'n' roll dream.
Put out the spot lights one and all And let the feeling get down to your soul The music's so loud you can here the sound Reaching for the sky churning up the ground
It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, oh, yeah. It's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy. Its all part of my rock 'n' roll dream, yeah, yeah. Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fantasy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
*Electric Light Orchestra - Rock 'N' Roll Is King*
Listen everybody let me tell you 'bout the rock 'n' roll Feel that rhythm and it's really gonna thrill your soul She said come along with me, to a land of make believe She said rock 'n' roll is king
She loves that rock 'n' roll and she plays it all night long That's all she ever tells me when I call her on the telephone She says feel that jumpin' beat, and git up on your feet She says rock 'n' roll is king
Chorus: Oh let those guitars play Play for me play for me Oh let that song ring out That's how it's meant to be
It rolls like a train that's comin' on down the track She rolled over Beethoven and she gave Tchaikovsky back She loves that drivin' beat, she goes dancin' on down the street She said rock 'n' roll is king
Repeat Chorus:
When she comes around and I'm listenin' to the radio She says you can't do that 'cause all I wanna do is rock 'n' roll Now here I'm gonna stay where that music starts to play She says rock 'n' roll is king

Called By A New Name
April 20, 2012
In the article Leading by Naming, Mark Labberton wrote about the power of a name. He said: I can still feel the impact of a musical friend who one day called me musical. No one had ever called me that. I didnt really play an instrument. I was no soloist. Yet . . . I instantly felt known and loved. . . . [He] noticed, validated, and appreciated something deeply true about me.
Perhaps this is what Simon felt when Jesus renamed him. After Andrew was convinced that Jesus was the Messiah, he immediately found his brother Simon and brought him to Jesus (John 1:41-42). Jesus peered into his soul and validated and appreciated something deeply true about Simon. Yes, Jesus saw the failure and impetuous nature that would get him into trouble. But more than that He saw the potential of Simon to become a leader in the church. Jesus named him CephasAramaic for Petera rock (John 1:42; see Matt. 16:18).
And so it is with us. God sees our pride, anger, and lack of love for others, but He also knows who we are in Christ. He calls us justified and reconciled (Rom. 5:9-10); forgiven, holy, and beloved (Col. 2:13; 3:12); chosen and faithful (Rev. 17:14). Remember how God sees you and seek to let that define who you are.
I am so glad for the day that I came
Seeking relief for my soul;
Jesus the Savior gave me my new name;
Now by His grace Im made whole. Hess
No one can steal your identity in Christ.

Unforgiven, by Metallica. Next question.
25 years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Today we have Obama, no cash, and no hope!If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
Or you can get raw with these strings.
How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).
And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, WHO HAS RETURNED HOME!.
Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.
Do it!

I have a CD collection of about 6,000 songs (98% from the 50's and 60's) so I can't name *one* song.My three favorites at this moment are Mr Tamborine Man (Byrds),My Back Pages (Byrds) and All Along The Watch Tower (Hendrix).Strangely enough all three are Dylan compositions (no coincidence, actually).
